    Apple Supportools Reference Guides

So I was looking through a separate folder of Apple documents and came across some more product sheets. These were double-sided, color on one side and black and white on the other. I scanned them in so you can take a look at them here in this directory. Of course I use the term "Newer" lightly...

    Apple Supportools Reference Guides

Ok so I scanned in some more! These are spec sheets, two-sided usually, with a photo and information on the front and back. Some of the more expensive and complicated models expand into a six-page booklet like the Macintosh IIsi. These have odd page sizes sometimes, so there may be some extra...

    Apple Supportools Reference Guides

Well I just created one PDF of a 10 page document, it turned out to be 25 MB total in size. 8-o I have enough hosting space to have them so it's ok. Basically I scan them in, run Automator to fix the levels, open them in Acrobat and make a PDF file. I can always lower the quality later, but...

    Apple Supportools Reference Guides

I would love to scan them in to make PDFs of the whole lot, it would just take a pretty long time. Throwing some cash my way would definitely increase the priority haha. [:D] ]'> I'll go through soon and make a list of what products are covered in the guides.

    Apple Supportools Reference Guides

UPDATE: PDFs are being created, please scroll down for a list! [:)] ]'> So back in April I went to a computer show and got some really awesome Apple items pretty cheap. I paid about $5 or so for a bunch, and I mean a bunch of Apple books and guides from the early 90's. One was a Newton...

Apple PowerCD - SCSI Power Mystery

Maybe you can take it apart and trace which pins cary the power? [:D] ]'> Then I could rig it up with a 6 AA battery holder or an AC plug. Of course if you don't want to take it apart that's fine. I'm just curious of how I could ever get this thing to work without paying a bunch for another...

Apple PowerCD - SCSI Power Mystery

I have this Apple PowerCD, which is a SCSI CD-ROM drive that doubles as a an audio CD player. Now the problem is I do not have the base which connects into the 25-pin SCSI port. This base contains a AC adapter port and a bay for holding six AA-size batteries. So I'm trying to figure out how it...

Asanté Ethernet to SCSI - Power adapter question

Hello, I recently found my Asanté En/Sc (Ethernet to SCSI adapter) - but I'm looking for it's power adapter. But I did find some AC adapters that fit the socket. The voltage may match on some, I have a list of them below. I'm wondering if you think any would work with this. Of course if not...

CompactFlash to IDE compatible with PB 5300?

Hello guys, So I have this Macintosh Freestyle Tablet (basically a PowerBook 5300). The problem is the hard drive overheated I believe and has been acting funky ever-since. Alternatively I put in a 2GB IDE drive from my PowerBook G3, but that didn't seem to be recognized at all. So I was...

Getting the PowerBook 180 online via LocalTalk Bridge

Neat setup you have there! [:)] ]'> I downloaded a demo of IPNetRouter - any tips on setting this up to share the connection? I believe it conflicts with LocalTalk Bridge so I had to disable that. Currently I have the Performa running OS 8.6 and it surfs the web fine, AppleTalk is set to...

Getting the PowerBook 180 online via LocalTalk Bridge

Oh? Cool [8D] Any details on that would be cool. Too bad all the software methods are either expensive or non-existent. Thanks so much for all the information though! I just talked to a friend who has an Asante SCSI to Ethernet adapter I can use. So that's one solution, and this way it won't...

Getting the PowerBook 180 online via LocalTalk Bridge

Ok I'll try doing that, I may of not had that before. Thanks The Performa has a manual IP address connecting using Ethernet. I have two disk drives in the Performa, if I use a manual address I'm unsure of the connection in System 7.6, however if I boot into Mac OS 8.6 and set TCI/IP to DHCP I...

Help with Asante Ethernet card & Macintosh IIci

My card says 09-00061. I tried reinstalling System 7.5.3. The Mac doesn't see the card installed and the Asante installer doesn't see the card either. Could it be that my NuBus slots are bad? I can't seem to get the video card working, however it seems like it just defaults to the on-board...

Help with Asante Ethernet card & Macintosh IIci

Well I used the 19-part System 7.5 download from Apple's web page. I did a "Installation for All Macintosh Systems" and not a specific install for my system. Which is why I ended up with PowerBook and 601 CPU control panels on my Macintosh IIci. Maybe that's the problem, I'll reinstall System...

    Apple External SCSI CAse

I am happy to own one of these, they're pretty simple to open. Although I regret not knowing exactly how. There are some clips like the previous poster said. Just try and open it carefully and you'll be alright. Next time I find it I'll post a guide if you'd like. :beige:
