Every dead Plus I've seen it was those caps you've spotted - replace them and you may well be good to go. But probably a good idea to do as technknight says too :)

The good news is that now my Classic is up and happily running :)

My Classic's caps were all leaking and starting to corrode the motherboard when I opened it up a few weeks ago to do the recapping. As is often the case, you couldn't see the damage until the caps had been removed. You definitely need to recap/get it recapped now unfortunately, otherwise...

The motherboard definitely will need a recapping anyway though - do get it done if you can!

Yeah all my PB100 logic boards have wires run for fixing errors and most have the power connector repair too, although I think that was usually an aftermarket repair

The more solutions the merrier! I for one am very happy with my several SCSI2SD devices and I appreciate anyone going to the hard work of creating new and useful devices that I couldn't or wouldn't ever develop myself.
