It is definitely compatible - especially seeing as that's the first Duo.
I would love a Plus - I just bought an original Duo Dock from BadGoldEagle on here - but it would be nice to have got one with Ethernet too.
The only Duos you need to be careful about are the ones with colour screens as...
I use this 12" 800 x 600 LCD monitor (LP-12R01 or LP-12R02), and it works with all my Macs' built in video, often it doesn't work well with video cards (all nubus era): http://content.etilize.com/Manufacturer-Brochure/1019815386.pdf
I have the black version hooked up to my Quadra 700 most of...
That's a shame. Well I've bought one set and will see how it goes. Right now all my collection is in storage whilst I renovate my house so I'll find out in the Autumn/Winter whether the foam is any good
Anyone in Europe: there's a similar listing here with lots available at what looks like a good price from Germany: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Victor-9000-SIRIUS-1-Keyboard-repair-Foam-Pads-for-KeyTronic-Keyboards-/121266887970?hash=item1c3c11dd22:g:HRYAAOSw91NTtPPK

The "Accessory Kit" box these are in contains a bunch of other things like feet and other accessories but these are probably the most relevant items for you. The Dutch one above is probably more accurate but also appears to a slightly later version.
It's labelled "Mac. Quadra 700...
basalgangster, this is totally OT, but just wanted to say that I read *all* of your articles that are now archived on macgui.com and I really really enjoyed them - super informative and interesting!
So it does seem to work in the IIci, although it doesn't like my LCD monitor much!
Thanks for the suggestions and help
trag: I didn't know that was a thing - useful to know - thank you
I'm going to investigate further - will test with more monitors etc
Omidimo: no 601 card (would like one tho!)
Trash: I'm using a VGA adapter with a small LCD - they work fine with its internal video. Yeah seems early. I'll check the date and get back to you.
I've tried both slots - so my next move will be to try in the IIci
