    I doubt you'll be in for the program, but it's worth a check. Opening the icebook isn't a big deal. Shimming the chip is easy too...

    huh - almost exactly the same as the book I picked up. There is no way the OS takes up that much space. Check the home folder for storage hogs.

    got leopard running on it today - seems snappy enough... It's 1.07ghz, has an airport extreme card in it, a combo drive, and has 768MB of RAM

    Your video issues might be caused by a disconnect at the graphics chip. Shim the chip with some cardboard and see if that fixes the video.

    Took a while but I have YDL 5 running on it... seems pretty good - I'm going to work on getting a leopard install. I'm thinking I'll replace my gateway laptop for this...

    Found it at the pawn shop. It had a bad HD so I put a new one in and cleaned it up. Too bad I don't have any PPC installs of OSX... Got it for $280 - not bad if oyu ask me, but not the best deal ever.

    SO I have a power wave with an XLR8 (I think - not sure) G3 300 card in it. I stripped the parts long ago, but today pieced it back together. I lost the speaker though. I tired booting it up and nothing, then reset the cuda - then I get gray for a split second and my mouse then the screen goes...

    Back in the mid 90s I used a 660AV to do some video work. I'm fairly sure that recorded TV won't be at full 29.9 Fps, and the files may be quite large. As far as linux - don't even think about it with a GUI... it just won't be useable. Stick with mac OS 7.6.1
