    7100 vs 6100

That shouldn't be a problem. I've got a box here with darn near 100 sticks of 72-pin RAM. Should the OP need some, I am more than sure could dig him up a pair of matched 32MB or maybe possibly a matched pair of 64MB sticks.

Power Macintosh 8100/110, Kybrd+ Mouse and 2 DUAL HDs

I was just trying to offer some advice for him as I felt that the drying time was not long enough. That and I was just trying to flesh out what the poster above me was saying, is all.

Leopard should run just fine on that card. While the Ti3200 is indeed far faster and a more capable GPU than the Rage128 card it came with, I am concerned that it may not support core video which would slow Leopard down a bit. I do agree with your sentiment on a better GPU than a faster CPU though.

    G4 MDD 1.25Ghz

Those are great machines. I bet OS 9 at 1.58GHz flies! A dual CPU upgrade would make OS X feel like butter on that machine. If you have cash, I wonder if you could get a SATA card and some HD's for it.

$800 and only a crumby CD to show for it ...

@ the two posters quoted: .Debris was pretty cool, though of a slow frame rate on my T60. I guess I will whip out the USB floppy drive with DOS 5 on a disk and try out some of the other demo's from the linked sites. Thanks! You really brought back some awesome memories for me from my youth...

Th easiest way to solve the question as the OP found out is to simply plug it back in and see if it works. I too have never lost a board due to the dangers of ESD. I lost a RAM card once, but that because 1 chip failed and I snapped it in half out of frustration.

    cheapest smallest mac?

The 660AV is a great choice as is the 6100AV with a G3. Personally I would love to own either one of those machines.

    7100 vs 6100

I'd go for the 6100 myself. It's got the cool case, and supports more RAM. I'd replace the heatsink with a larger one and of course new paste. Then a low speed G3 (which would smoke the 601), a 128MB stick of RAM and I'd be set for some retro fun.

    Stowaway

I'll get on it later today and get back with you. One of them has the box, manuals, cd and all and the other one is just the unit itself. 1 of them runs of of 4 AA's and the other uses it's own internal battery. I'd recommend swapping cases between the 2 as 1 of them has some cracks due to age...

    How do we Classify Conquests...

For me it breaks down two ways that may or may not go hand in hand. 1. The rarity of the item in question 2. The amount of wanting that item the person has. I have been wanting a 2400c for many years. If I were to acquire a working one that would qualify as an epic conquest. Another epic...

It's no mystery that all people do not necessarily agree with or get along with one another. What defines us is our ability to at least be civil about our misgivings. I have done my best not to subscribe to either group. It is my opinion that even defining such groups does not add to forum...

My sawtooth has a 450MHz G4 and a 16MB Rage128 card. Back in the day I bought a brand new 16MB AGP Rage128 card for my Pentium II Tower and it totally kicked ass. The Rage128 GPU is a powerful GPU. Just dated. It kicks ass in OS 9 and even in OS X it handles all of my video needs just fine at...

Scored a Powermac G3 All In One

I've always liked how they look and to be honest, would not mind owning one. It'd be like an iMac except with proper expansion built right in.

Power Macintosh 8100/110, Kybrd+ Mouse and 2 DUAL HDs

Any markings or writing on the cards could be useful in determining what function they serve. I'd remove the cover from the case then leave the computer in a window or other area known to warm for about a week. If the machine does not show any additional signs of life, I'd strip it. Then leave...

I've been quiet on the matter hoping that it would resolve itself. However from what I have read, it has not. First and foremost the 68kMLA should at it's core be about 68k Macintoshes, with a side of PPC Macintoshes as well. I read through nearly every sub-forum on the board although I may...
