    Scored a Perfect iMac G4 800MHZ

I've worked on those machines and I really like them. A nice machine with decent CPU and GPU as well as a great design. Congrat's on your score.

    BLACKBOOK! (GrayBook) W00t!

Looks good. The only idea I have for your sleep issue is three fold: 1. Run updates. Maybe OS X isn't as happy with the new HW as you think it is. 2. Slap in a temp HD and load a fresh install of OS X to see if it sleeps properly and the light comes on. 3. Try replacing the light / sensor...

    IIci acquisition

This is such a killer setup. Very nicely done IMO. I could totally use that setup on a day to day basis with no problems.

My first conquest! (no, not just pictures)

Great score. I miss my old LC.

    Power Mac G4 MDD Cooling

What? Yes it is a good card. The fan and HS are good size for the chip it has to cool. Good to hear it runs cool as well. You can extend its life by blowing out with some are to remove built up dust in the fan fins. Voodoo was the name of a PCI card designed by 3fdx to crunch 3D for games...

    SCORE!!! Curb: PM G3 B&W!!!

My sawtooth is still kicking and my B&W is still around. I prefer the sawtooth for it's speed and the B&W because I love the color of the case. That being said I have named neither of them and I have also never found a curb computer although I have set a few on the curb.

Macintosh Portable Prototype (clear acrylic case!) [JPG]

    Finally- a PISMO!!!

Enjoy the Pismo! I used to have a 500MHz one but Cory has it now. They really are wonderful machines. I use to run 10.4 on mine with dual batteries (8+ hours FTW!) and 1GB of RAM. Man that was a sweet laptop.

    Interest in PCI Powermacs?

I still have my BeigeG3MT and I will have it for many years to come as far I know right now. It's not my daily driver - it is my link to the past. Some of us here romanticize or reminisce about 'the good old days' of computing, and to be honest I do miss them. Gone are the days of...

    The "ouch... free IIci"

I know everyone is going to hate me for this but here goes. I like it. A lot. Get some rags and spray them with other glow in the dark paint until they are literally dripping. Then sling them around so as to create trails of glow in the dark multi-colored Rave stlyed madness. I'd use purple...

    Nice newer PPC finds!

If the G4 is a dual CPU machine then yes, you got a good deal. I dislike iMacs so my view is that you wasted money on it.

    Tangerine iBook!

I've always been a quiet fan of the original iBooks. While I wouldn't mind owning one because I've always wanted too I have no idea what I would do with it other than have it sit around my house with the other computers I don't use.

    8500 G4 Issue

Is the motherboard onboard cache disabled or enabled? When I had an 8500 and a NewerTech card if I ran the onboard cache alongside the CPU cache I would have some of the same issues as the OP.

    Dual 604ev @ 300MHz?

The MaxxBoxx could do SMP if I recall. It would appear that Everymac agrees with me on this. They were sold primarily in Germany same as the system referenced by the OP.
