The RAM issue is the primary reason I purchased a Beige G3 MT instead of a desktop model. MY machine is cranking along with 768MB of RAM and loving it. Now if only I could cram 3 512MB modules (which I do have in hand) in there for a total of 1.5GB. That would be beyond sweet.

My first guess is a failing video card. If you have another card, or internal video try using those and see if the problem still persists. Also you could try resetting the PRAM and /or CUDA switch if your machine has one. Finally after that I would start looking at the system RAM and swapping...
