The easiest way is to use ProDOS Shrinkit II to create .SDK archives. If you already have a method for ProDOS to MacOS transfer then you're set. Shrinkit II doesn't handle .DSK files (which is mostly what you'll find on the web), but DiskMaker 8 does and will run on an enhanced IIe. Both are...

The 3.5" controller card is very nice to have... I'd say that more than makes up for a duff PSU.

Apple II Sound & Music Items Wanted

Sine there seems to be a glimmer of interest, I thought I'd start a thread. My Holy Grail at the moment is the Graphical Rhythm Composer software for the EM-U Drumulator.

I might just have that... but it will take a bit of spelunking to find out. In the meantime, there are one or two things I desperately need, so I'm going to start a new thread to that end.

I have a bit of alphaSyntauri software posted on my site... it's been a couple of years since I've played about with mine, but it really is a fun rig to noodle with.

    Winners!

Considering how few of this year's two dozen entrants actually completed a project, it was surprisingly difficult to pick a top three – and that's only partially down to laziness and procrastination on my part. Anyway, without further ado, the winners are: FIRST PLACE Aaron Wolfe, Boisy Pitre...

    RCBBS down?

Mark mentioned that the BBS was going down at the end of the month... I thought he meant February, but maybe not???

$50 for an orange iMac - reasonable?

Good point, and one that always gets overlooked in these "what is x worth" discussions... out here on the prairie life is hard and I have to drive an hour through a blizzard (barefoot) to get to the nearest Value Village. Given the circumstances, just about anything locally available is worth at...

$50 for an orange iMac - reasonable?

Seems a bit steep to me, unless it's in museum condition. The real question is: is it worth it to you? If the $50 won't lead to starvation and the iMac is something you'd get any use out of then I'd say go for it. BTW, if you have an OS X install disk you can verify RAM, HDD etc -- if they...

    68kmla loads faster than Google

I've noticed this lately... at home on my crappy 56k dial-up, the 68kmla (I have "view new posts" bookmarked) consistently loads faster than Google's home page. Just thought it odd given that Google has about two dozen words and one small graphic... makes you wonder what they're up to behind the...

    Winter Warm Up 2010

I've found iCab to be pretty serviceable (with CSS disabled). Adjusting your expectations also helps ;-)

    Winter Warm Up 2010

The rule regarding games/pdas is the result of sheer laziness and ignorance on my part... there just isn't a convenient cut-off as there is with computers. If anyone has any ideas on how to streamline the rules on games/pdas feel free to stop by the BBS and suggest away... Previous experience...

    Winter Warm Up 2010

The guideline for games and PDAs is ten-years-old as of the start of the competition, so you'd be a little shy with the GBA... developing something for the original GB would definitely put you in the running though.

    email on a Color Classic

Here's a possible workaround: when I check my mail via POP3 my ISP allows me to send mail without authorization for 30 minutes... try checking your mail on your main computer first and then see if you can send mail from the CC.

Wha?! Max size of signiture 255 characters!

No one's mentioned that you can actually turn of signatures (along with images, flash, smilies and avatars) in the User Control Panel (Board preferences --> Edit display options). I realize it wouldn't be necessary if everyone were polite and considerate etc, but reality is often otherwise... :(
