Okay. Here are the machines I have available.
Powerbook G4 1.67 (7400)
XServe G5 2.3/DP (750)
If it's a regular gcc project then there's not much that I have to do to get started then...
Got the server today. Brand new, in the box, booted right up to OS X Server 10.4, and with the included key I successfully installed a legitimate OS X Server .
Downloading updates and stuff now....
Absolutely. My stack of servers gets occasional use anyway, and nothing I have does much more than just boot up for a bit and run updates.
The production-grade stuff I am setting up is going straight to the datacenter though.
How loud is it compared to the other datacenter equipment? The xserve I have (on loan through a customer) is VERY loud, because all of the fans spin at max rpm
I dont know what it is about Apple branded wires and stuff, but my cats ONLY eat Apple cords. I had a macbook 2.4 for a while, and both the original charger and the replacement I bought both got eaten a little bit. That all stopped when whichever cat bit down on the wrong end of a Dell power...

I'll give the USB thing a try...I should look for one of the original iPods that work with iTunes 1 or 2...that would be really great!
The Update system does still in fact work. It downloaded a iPod update and a DVD drive firmware...
Even better would be creating a linux init script to start Basilisk or Sheepshaver automatically (with X) before gdm loads. It can be done fairly easily, and you'll never have to see the other Linux stuff.
Compile a kernel and make it load in 15 seconds too
If you are using just the GET/PUT commands from HTTP, why would it require DAV being enabled? Are you using the extended commandset of DAV in your implementation? If so, congratulations!
This is interesting because I'm planning on implementing a subversion instance with a subversion hook which...
Good afternoon and Happy Holidays!
In college, I bought a used TiBook 400, after a gentleman noticed I was posting to a car forum using a 3400c. He offered me this notebook for $400 (this was back in 2004).
After using it for a while, of course it went in stand-by mode, as I moved onto Linux...
