Well count the the chicks in about 8 to 10 weeks when they are processed for the dinner table ;)
One of the guys at work raises chickens, turkeys, and ducks. He processes them at home too. Quite a production. I like the rotating finger defeathering machine.
How long have...
For some reason those iic bags seemed to have survived VERY well over the years.
I wonder if that was because nobody ever carried their IIC with them?
The bag was just tossed in a closet and the IIC setup on the desk to live life then the bag sent to GoodWill?
The bag was just constructed...
Holy WOW!!!! I'll pm you something to help take care of those auth disks the "proper" way for safekeeping.... I learned my lesson a few years back when I totally wasted out a complete set of Protools 3.1 and 3.2 authorizers trying to upgrade the TDM versions.
If you can wait at all before...
Well, that is my duh of the day.... Show's how much one can forget along the way. :?:
After looking at the back of the machine in the garage before going to work this morning, it indeed does have the standard 15pin vga port, serial, parallel, and the two ps/2 connectors on the backplane...
Actually I'm finding the regular Stuffit format a godsend. Since at least I'm seeing more and more of a problem storing my vintage Mac software files for upload on remote sites a problem. At least with the .sit I can download on a PC with stripped resource forks etc, so it only shows up as a...
Thanks Bunsen for the comments.
Yeah, I'm still pretty stoked.. I just hope I've not used up all my good luck in one place this past weekend.
Yeah, this church regularly cycles out it's TV production hardware every few years and much of it ends up in the big yearly garage sales. Most of the...
Was able to make it back to the garage sale at the big church again today.
This time for 20 bucks total I came home with...
1. Alesis XT - 8 Track ADAT record (yes another one) and is working order as well with minor svhs carriage issue
2. Panasonic 3750 - Commercial SVHS video tape recorder...
Hmm.. I have one of those cards in my collection. Maybe have to install that beast into an old machine to try it out again. I could NOT get it to work in an old Pentium 133 setup last time I tried. It would read and write normally in normal A: B: disk letter mode, but none of the software...
Very nice conquest there. G4 500 and 512m ram. That's VERY usable.
Let us know about the ink when you try it out.. I Still have a 1500 and 2400 sitting nearly new in boxes in the basement. I wonder how long the sealed ink actually lasts? I do know that that I still have old HP Inks for a...
Yeah that's right. the ALESIS is 8 track. It worked very well in last nights' testing.
Well... Here's the scoop. I'm not 100% I'm going to fix the other two or put them on on ebay for parts machines but sadly two of them are sickly.
The Panasonic SV3700 - Lights up and tape drawer works...
I totally agree about the Quadra 630. That is still my favorite Mac to this day. It was also the best early CD recording platform too. Well at least in 1993-1994 when I got mine. Early Astarte Toast ran extremely well on it since the Pinnacle CDR (2x) wasn't being hindered on the scsi buss...
Okay pictures will come as soon as I get done verifying everything is functional.
I was at the mega church World Harvest church near Columbus, OH today for their annual garage sale.. They ALWAYS have something for me it seems. This year was better than ever. Picked up the following for 15...
That is great! I did that in college about 1991 timeframe. I always thought using the IIGS on the Commodore Amiga 1084S was just the BEST. The image just seemed bigger and crisper than the Apple RGB monitor and having stereo sound right there from the speakers was wonderful! Had a VCR and a...
Okay, I thought I could edit my own posts maybe not after some time period. Maybe I need to rtfm :)
But quick update through RetroMacCast I might have found probably the ONE individual that may have the software for this MacPhone wish me luck. My membership is still pending so I can't...
Recon mission complete:
MacPhone finally arrived.
1. Original Box
2. MacPhone base unit
3. MacPhone cords
4. MacPhone Handset
NOTHING else in box but one of those old "flat pens" with the plastic cord attached to it and the cord disintegrated into several deplasticized rings....
So...
This isn't quite the same, but I use the 6200 (PCI) because it's the fastest PCI card that is fully supported in OSX 10.4.11 on my B&W G3/G4 450 upgraded machine. If someone knows of a faster PCI OSX supported card please let me know.
I had to flash it and it was only 40 bucks a couple...
Yeah this is a great hack!
I was thinking of something similar but for a Lisa case. 9.7" is the standard screen size for all the Lisa and Compact Macs right?
I can afford a low end iPad much more easily than a working Lisa :) Wow.
Probably this goes in the "I'm building my own... Stupid" category but I can attest that the old adapters from Omniview called the Omniview PS/2 MAC Adapter work very well.
I use 3 of them to hook my B&W G3's and Beige G3's to my Compaq 8 port PS2 KVM.. That way I have a ps/2 PC keyboard...
Wow! 799.00
And to think I paid 6 bucks for my last Q950 at the Dayton Hamfest 3 years ago. It was in decent shape too.
That's impressive still for NIB after all this time however.
