I know this thread is kinda dead, but I've always wondered if there is a rechargeable PRAM battery (specifically the 4.5v) Has somebody encountered something like that?
I’m posting because I’ve seen you could use a “Hayes Compatible” type modem with a Macintosh, I was wondering if it would work. Is 1200 Baud enough?

I'm not sure what my HD's SCSI ID# is, I read it goes from 7 - 0. And 7 is the computer itself. I think it's #0 but then it's the least prioritized number. Just for reference, Macintosh's cannot dasychain floppy drives? I'm' also on the lookout for the "Inside Macintosh" books, were they common...
Meh, the internal drive is giving me too much trouble. I’m probably going to get another and store the one I have now. I’ve had luck with Herb’s Mac Stuff, all of it works well.
