I know this thread is kinda dead, but I've always wondered if there is a rechargeable PRAM battery (specifically the 4.5v) Has somebody encountered something like that?

    BSR Phone-Modem

Dialing into some BBS’s and maybe some other things, I’ve also been looking at Apple modems. I’d like one, it would complement my setup nicely.

    BSR Phone-Modem

I’m posting because I’ve seen you could use a “Hayes Compatible” type modem with a Macintosh, I was wondering if it would work. Is 1200 Baud enough? Thanks

I have a BSR modem I bought off eBay, I believe it's 1200 Baud because the model number is MD-1207. I could be wrong, but I think it's a good guess.

System Saver And Hard Drive Enclosure

I'm not sure what my HD's SCSI ID# is, I read it goes from 7 - 0. And 7 is the computer itself. I think it's #0 but then it's the least prioritized number. Just for reference, Macintosh's cannot dasychain floppy drives? I'm' also on the lookout for the "Inside Macintosh" books, were they common...

The only problem is I have no way to get them on a disk, I’m gonna have to invest in the FloppyEmu. Or maybe a different way, not sure.

Macintosh Plus System 6 Disks, SCSI Hard drive setup, and transferring software/programs.

Meh, the internal drive is giving me too much trouble. I’m probably going to get another and store the one I have now. I’ve had luck with Herb’s Mac Stuff, all of it works well. Anyone want a tan Mac Kensington System Saver? I’m trying to get a grey one.

System Saver And Hard Drive Enclosure

I’ve been messing around with the Apple HDSC Initializing program and my non-Apple HD. When I open the program it automatically starts searching for a hard disk, while that is happening the activity light on the HD case flashes one time. Then a text box appears saying “Could not find a suitable...

System Saver And Hard Drive Enclosure

Going to go on a little tangent here, but I'd like to know if $100.00 is a good price for an Apple III computer. Any feedback?
