yeah, just hold the option key. I have done it on G3 iMacs (SL) so should work. IIRC os X works too, albeit slowly. I think I did that once with an iPod Shuffle.
I am eventually hoping to get this running on my Wallstreet, and run KDE or Enlightenment. People seem to complain a great deal about the sub system of Mac OS X. I don't seem to mind it too much. I need a way to figure out how to use wifi with it, as when I try to access it directly from 10.3's...
I remember when I got an iPod Shuffle. I had installed a USB 2 card in my AIO, and now that I think back, I probably had one of the oldest supported computers to run that iPod. :D
Here is how I ran my beige:
I had 3 HDs. As far as I remember, I only had one with that 8GB partition.
You can use disk utility to "restore" to another disk. I don't remember having any trouble copying the live operating system.
All you need is one 8 gig partition in the entire machine, the...
If you are trying to speed up a blue and white ... I have a server running 10.4- here is what I did:
Turned off Dashboard
Turned off Spotlight
Other things you can do:
There is a program out there to turn off shadows called ShadowKiller ( taking less GPU) which makes things a bit snappier...
My last final is at 2 PM PST. Afterwards, I plan on getting my Mac SE's Ethernet working. I have never gotten it to work before :( I was rummaging through a pile of SE's and saw that this one had an ethernet card. I of course was in an extreme hurry to max it out ... I dropped a 80MB hd in it...
The only part that is hard, is not dropping screws from the metal cage into the crt section, i find that either a magnetic screwdriver or a pair of pliers at the ready to grab screws works well.
Kinda odd to bring up old subjects, but will the hotline server run in os X? I have a B&W hosting a website for be, but beyond that it seems to be doing very little. It has a 40gig hd in it, and I am on some type of broadband. (Dorm room's IPs are static!)
This was my first somewhat modern Mac. I loved it! Screen and keyboard were awesome. That lappy and i ... good times. Like this one time I left it on a pillow... and it revved up its fans so hi, that you could hear them screaming throughout the house... my family just shut my bedroom door ...
I am planning on putting 512 in this. Probably running 10.3. iTunes is a hog, try using VLC to play back movies on your beige. I might have to resort to using Divx doctor. Converts the movie into a more playable format for the older g3s. the end result is a file of similar size (bit bigger)...
I was wondering if anyone knew of any3D software that works well on a Wallstreet. I am a little disappointed by the mobile Rage Pro. I remember being able to play Unreal on low settings on my beige G3, but the playback on this thing is ridiculous. I am trying to think back if there were any...

Those are the ones I would start with. ;D
Is this a slot loader? If it is, I would just recommend getting another one. When a SL iMac's CRT starts failing on me, I go find a decent looking 350 model and swap out the HD. If the model you have is 400-500 swap the board out between the two. If it is >500 ... Right now I have a 600...
I love the Wallstreet KB, i would rank it right next to or above my 3400c's kb, which was pleasure to type on.
Specs:
Wallstreet II
300mHz
192MB Ram
had an 8 gb HD
DVD + Decoder
14in TFT
Battery was holding some charge, but not working for some reason right now.
All my os x discs seem...
I finally got the Wallstreet I have been so psyched about. I am watching a Fish Called Wanda. I love how big the screen is compared to my MacBook. I think I am going to make it my main programming machine. The keyboard isn't as nice as the MacBook's, but I am always paranoid of hauling the...
