Ya I really hope these rom chips work so i can finally put this se30 back together completely =) This seems like it might be useful for a lot of people that have these cards to update the rom.

As stated in my other topic I jammed that other pivot card with the 2.5 rom and it works okay in 32bit the mouse doesn't freeze. I hope updating the chip in the other card fixes the problem too =) and also hoping not to have any other problems like going greyscale... I'll keep you updated ...

So i finally got around to see if this low profile pivot card Barely fits in the SE30 on the diimo slot. Only temporary I don't like how its jammed in there.. This card has the v2.5 ROM and it seems to work fine no problems with the mouse freezing in 32bit. Hoping the updated chip will work...

Happened to me too. The se30 and other macs have specific ram configuration. In order to use only 4 slots of ram, I think you have to use bank B and leave bank A blank. Or you have to fill in bank B with other ram. In my case the 64mb ram I got were too big and wouldn't fit in bank B they were...

A rule if i remember correctly, while working with high voltages always keep one hand in your pocket will help prevent the electricity from traveling through your heart or vital organs. Just don't mess around too much while its plugged in and turned on lol
