I normally use Windows Internet Connection Sheiring(OS X might have something similar) when I want to get my old Macs on-line. I also have a wird connection at my workbench.(so I don't need a PC when I'm fixing up an old Mac)

    'PowerMac G4' tower

A while ago(maybe a year ago) I was talking to a local book-store owner who was a former IT guy. We spoke about Zip drives(I bet a lot of people here remember those). I spoke to him a couple of weeks ago(to see if he had any SCSI Zip drives) and aqaured a 'PowerMac G4' tower that wasn't working...

    Mac to Min-Din 9

Ok the 9th pin is power(https://68kmla.org/forums/index.php?/topic/23687-mac-to-min-din-9/?view=getnewpost). PCs don't need power so it should be ignorable, also one source says this was apples initiation, so I should be able to use a Min-Din 8 to DB9 converter of the correct type.
