Is This G3 Enougf For Os X?
I have Tiger on a 350Mhz B&W with otherwise similar specs. It runs great. It runs great. I was originally expecting "XP on a Pentium 2 in 256MB RAM" style performance but I've been pleasantly surprised at just how well OSX runs on this machine.- LSD

What to Buy Oo?!
I bought a B&W G3 a week and a half ago. It's one of these: http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/powermac_g3/stats/powermac_g3_350_bl.html The sticker on the back says it had 64MB originally (it had 256MB when I bought and I've since boosted it to 512) leading me to believe it's the...- LSD

PowerBook 180 Screen Problems
Sounds like a loose connection somewhere in the backlight circuit. As to how you'd go about fixing that I haven't the slightest idea... :(- LSD

Did Radeons ever come in 66Mhz PCI flavour? I hadn't thought too much about upgrading the video card because it's such an unusual configuration. Well, maybe not for Macs but seeing as I mainly have a PC background it is to me :p -

yeah, I'm actually quite surprised at how well Tiger runs on this machine. I mean, it's certainly not lightning fast and some of the more advanced desktop effects own the PCI 3D card in it but it's a lot more usable than XP SP2 on the same hardware and on a whole other planet to Vista.
