Any progress?
I've recentlly gotten two SCSI ethernet adaptors... hopefully I can get the keyboard fixed on my plus soon so I can try them out. this looks like it would be pretty handy too.. http://code.google.com/p/gtalksms/wiki/FeaturesAndCommands it would be pretty neat to do SMSs from my...
too expensive I guess... the TMS34010 is basically a computer in its own right has a 128Mb address space and separate framebuffer and drams... and apparently some of its instructions map directly to quickdraw (that is what thier marketing video says anyway) it does makes sense though.
It could...
I posted the datasheet before but apparently there is a userguide also... I am believe there actually quite alot of these left as old stock as I've read of other people attempting to work with them in modern times as well.

Instead of just redisplaying the internal video.. implement a separate display.
1. Get a copy of the ScuzzyGraph driver... (it even supports color)
2. Reverse engineer it figure out the protocol
3. implement it in FPGA (SCSI interface / simple graphics processor / VGA or HDMI out)
4. Profit...
I doubt the SCSI controller has DMA... if it is anything like the other macintoshes.
That would put a massive hurting on performance. Also don't forget that SCSI-1 is only 5Mbps and SCSI-2 is only 10Mbps theoretical max bandwidth... I woudln't be supprised if the drive maxes out at 500Kbps...
Are you sure you didn't misread KBps as Kbps? ... If so that would probably be in the right range although still only half theoretical 10Mbit ethernet performance. If your connection really is that slow something funny is going on... perhaps you could try sticking a 10Mbit hub between your...
So I was able to login on proxim.. and download the microSCSI driver. Does this also work with the Farallon Ethermac SCSI?
Or should I be looking for a different driver?
ScsiGraph driver... should be interestig to look at (perhaps I will get a scsi analyser at some point)
Not one but 2 Farallon EtherMac SCSI adapters for $30 for for my Plus and one for my SE/30!
I had a good day today :) got my Sun T2000 (a conquest in itself as I got a 1.2Ghz model with...
That macipgw looks pretty handy ... Does that work with localtalk printer bridges? I could probably set it up on my transmeta laptop which I forget running for months on end anyway ;-) .
I've been hunting for ways to get my SE/30 and Plus on the net this looks promising!
Yes I believe you said you have a ScuzzyGraph I .. model I and II are quite similar but can't be sure. I think the USENET post I found is refering to model II since the prices are a great deal cheaper than when they orriginally launched I believe.
Since you have 2 identical systems... pull the bios from the other one... boot it into the bios pull it out stick the other one in and save it.
See here: http://www.tokenasians.com/articles/bioshotswap.html
And yeah... I know its crazy to do that make certain you are grounded to at least...
Hopefully that works out. Seems like it would be useful to be able to run it from the target machine though if you are debugging/coding on there as well.
So.. What is a scuzzygraph *exactly*
I came across this which gives more detail that I have seen elsewhere.. https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/comp.sys.nsc.32k/scuzzygraph/comp.sys.nsc.32k/FW-BwmFo3BU/ytZR8Eu9PNIJ
In short.. the scuzzygraph is a TMS34010 purportedly the first...
I have the same issue on the Plus I got from mcdermd. The a key doesn't really work at all and various letters get stuck repeating... so I may need to replace the few caps on the board. Looks like someone was prying at the a key as there are scratches on the metal around there LOL. A keyboard...
