Just Bought a WGS 6150/66 with a nice little surprise for $100

IIRC the case itself is identical to the rest of the 61xx series - It's just the badge and a question of ROM on the motherboard. And the shipped software, of course. If you find a donor PM 6100/60, 6100/66 or Performa 611x you're good.

Just Bought a WGS 6150/66 with a nice little surprise for $100

Hehe, I was eying that one ;) The shipping turned out to be too much for me in the end. Glad it went to someone in the community!

    MacOS 7.7 Prototype Drive Imaging

Wouldn't just doing "dd" using linux make a perfectly good image? DD doesn't care about file systems and such. And the image can be compressed afterwards for anyone wanting to take a look (and to save jajan some space)

Introducing (and interest check) AirTalk: Wireless plug-and-play LocalTalk dongles

I'll do a switcheroo for one set instead of the units I'm already on the list for (providing this doesn't cause problems for you),

Announcing ZuluSCSI - A file-based SCSI device emulator

This exists: https://en.infinityproducts.co.jp/product-page/smc-beleth-s-drum-hd-sound-simulator Runs off the LED signal, so shouldn't be too much of a hassle connecting it to a ZuluSCSI.

G4 cube fully supported Linux ?

You should be able to install the r128 driver in Adelie Linux - it's at least in their repository: https://pkg.adelielinux.org/current/xf86-video-r128

Announcing ZuluSCSI - A file-based SCSI device emulator

I believe Bruce from https://recapamac.com.au/ has said he will be selling AzulSCSI

Suggestions for alternative OSes for 6100 and other NuBus-PPC?

It doesn't out of the box - you'll have to replace the kernel with a kernel from the NubusPPC people. I vaguely seem to remember that someone also ported the patches to some version of 3.x and got it working. Should be possible to find by browsing lots of old links with the NuBus SF-site as...

Suggestions for alternative OSes for 6100 and other NuBus-PPC?

It's an unfortunate result of the peculiar way the x100 series is made - and the time and effort kernel developers were/are willing to commit.

Suggestions for alternative OSes for 6100 and other NuBus-PPC?

Due to the very particular NuBus architecture of the 6100, your only options are MkLinux and anything capable of running on one of the old kernels from the now practically abandoned NuBus Linux Project: http://nubus-pmac.sourceforge.net/ I remember running Debian with a 2.6 kernel on mine many...

    Wiki/Pages article ideas

Something I'd like to see is a list of possible combinations of cases and motherboards. As in: Got a spare LC/Performa 630 cabinet? Chuck a 6300 motherboard in there. 7200 case takes a 7300 mobo, but you'll need to swap the PSU - etc, etc.

Working my way back to the hobby with a nice SE/30

It all started when my father took home an SE from work. It was the coolest thing I had ever seen. I learned how to read and write on the keyboard of that thing. Countless "HELLO MUM!" on some early version of MacWrite - or perhaps MS Word? The SE got replace by an SE/30 after a couple of years...
