Hello MacUP72, So when you stated you got another Pismo was that too giving the same issues ? Sounds like there is a conflict somewhere with the CD drive.. Make sure the ribbon cable is not jarred or showing signs of ripping, as this can cause issues too. From what you are describing it does not...
Hi ! I have used browservice before. Its really nice. I just wish sound would work through the the modern system when sending to OS 9. Seeing youtube being displayed and watching a movie under OS 9 using Browservice is pretty cool. I will see if there is a mac version of it to compile under...
I guess the question is. I am always in Mac OS 9 and also in Leopard.. more so for Mac OS 9 and I need to be able to retrieve my mail going through less secure apps. Is there a software I can use for getting my email under OS 9 ?
Yes, I know. But, I haven't had issues getting batteries for my type of model which is a DLSD 15 inch. Also, I sent you a message about proton mail not working on any PowerPC web browser, incl Wicknix interwebPPC and tenfourfox.
Hi, provide me your mac model.. I will try to find it when I get off work this evening for you. If Macintosh Garden had my 1ghz Titanium G4 original discs, then they should also have the system you own too.
Hi ! These days finding the actual discs are hard, but you can find the .dmg image files for your machine on macintoshgarden.org or archive.com. When you go on macintoshgarden.org, type in search original discs for iBook G3 800mhz.
Hello ! I hope someone here can help me. I have a PowerBook G4 DLSD and also a Titanium 1ghz G4 PowerBook using OS 9.2.2 - I need to know how I can get the web browser(interweb, or any other) to load proton mail and also is it possible to use Proton Mail as a bridge under OS 9 ? I guess, I want...
Hi, 2.6.8 is what I use.. this version also works with my PowerBook G4 DLSD. OK, so when I run the thermal calibration the lights come on and all activity stops - this is not good.. no leaks at all, processors look fine - feeling the pad under the processors - dry ! I haven’t really used the G5...
Ok, here is a weird issue - I also have a PM G5 Quad.. never an issue at all, except now - So, when I try to boot into the Diagnostics the overtemp light goes on, and another one goes on also. But, when I am in Leopard, or Sorbet I can run everything and even under heavy load and the machine...
Hi ! You can find this on Macintosh Repository -> Here is the link. https://www.macintoshrepository.org/33955-powerbook-firmware-update-4-1-8. With my Pismo when I buy it, it come already with disc from seller. Sorry my english not so good, but 4.1.8 you can find on link I sent.
I know this may be a little off topic, but is it possible to reverse engineer using codewarrior and assembly to write code in OS 9 that can support WPA encryption ? What would be cool is if we can program new drivers for OS 9 to make it more useful for say, USB 2.0 and Airport Extreme or even N...
Speaking of assembly, what app can I use in OS 9 to write assembly language programs ? I am trying to work on writing a USB 2 driver and need to know what app to use for this ? Does Codewarrior support assembly programming under OS 9 ?
Sorry to ask this in this thread, but where can I get a Pismo G3 good working pram battery ? Its a pia to keep unhooking the optical drive to get it running. My Pismo works great, just want to get a new Pram battery for it.
Oh, yeah that was it ! I forgot somewhat the name of that app. I don't own a Kanga, but just wanted to know what version of OS X it can support. I do have Sorbet Leopard on the Pismo, it doesn't really work well though.
I agree with you there. I had no trouble taking apart my DLSD to apply new paste, but the TI PowerBook G4 is a pain in the a** to take apart. I am currently using it now to type this, though I have a couple of issues with it - I think my gpu is going up, as if I do any heavy stuff which makes...
Interesting, I read somewhere that Kanga can support OS X, though it would be via an app called xposit something.. I believe it could only support up to Panther or Jaguar ? I never owned a Kanga myself, but certainly it would be cool to see OS X on it.
