umm, given that $795 for the manuals and the CDROM i'm never going to use/get to use A/UX, thats kinda really hefty on the price. like REALLY REALLY hefty. like if i had 800$ i would buy a mac mini not a single pice of software.
hey, my classic ii does the same thing, i'll let it sit for a wile then flip the switch to work on it and no chime, i turn it off unplug everyhting form it and smack it around a bit (i mean like push it back then forward so it rattles a bit) and then turn it on and boom it springs back to life.
haha, i've got a 2MB vram upgrade takeen from a iMac G3266 computer, worked in my G3 266 Biege DT computer as well. used to paly diablo2 on that thing with the 2MB upgrade it allowed me to use hte perspective mode =D
ditch the CD Caddey drive and get a real CD Drvie, if you want somthign standard with the times a 600i is a good choice. unless the bezzel wont adapt to a tray loading drive. if you need compadible hard drives i can get you a 160MB IBM SCSI drive. (also a company i would have to dig out one of...
ok so its not a real SE/30 computer that i'm operateing with, its an emulator. SoftMacXP to be excat. from what i've been able to dicern its the same I/O as far as handleing the ram and the OS and BIOS see the computer as normal unless somthign happens. so you got the emulated hardware working...
well it all sounds like a good plan, no way i'm useing linux tho becasue i'm no software developeer, i couldent compile anything to save my life. so i dont have any software for linux and theres no executeable bianarys for linux like there is for macos and windows. it was like 40$ for a 1.4GHz...
hold down the hard power button, hwne you push it in the computer should turn on, when it turns off the pram should be reset the hard way. if that doesnt work it might be that your only other option would be to open it up and physcialy remove the pram battery(ies), it may have more than one...
well evantualy i was able to get Basilisk II to write the data onto a 1.44MB floppy disk by jummyrigging my desktop computer with a floppy drive that it didnt really have the case space for, but the sys710 install isnt reacting to well to the sys701 system and finder probably becasue of hte hard...
so if i get a mac with an AirPort card (any version) it should be able to share the connection with my PB1400 useding an ORiNCO Gold Wireless-B card, my laptop useing an Atheros Wireless-G PCI-Express WiFi card. and my Desktop useing a Linksys Wireless-G PCI adapter?
haha, its already been derailed. the first post ensured that. the topic was mostly about the PowerBook1400 i breathed life back into for the 10th time (8th if you discount only repalceing the cracked screen)
