I was having trouble getting ether of them to transfer right. Let me see if it work transfer better without using the pc (i think it is making the file formats show up funny on the classic)
I hate to have to ask but here goes,
I have spent many hours of googling and trying several programs on a mac and pc with no luck. I've been trying to get some disk images restored to disks on my IIgs I have tried everything I can think of so I thought I would ask here. the files I have are...
UPDATE: I guess the p16 is a prodos file (I know little about the software of the IIgs) so I may be able to fix it if that is all that is wrong.
I found some file on another disk for prodos but it says the Intro.sng music.sys16 and muspop1.pic are still corrupt.
I finally found a good deal on a IIgs midi interface for my IIgs, and it showed up today. Now I need to go buy a midi cable and then I can see if it works!
I am going to build an IDEfile (http://john.ccac.rwth-aachen.de:8000/patrick/idefile.htm), it sounds like it might be fun to build something like that. Someone on the lisalist built one so I know I can at least ask them for help if need be.
crisis adverted. a couple of caps switched out from the power supply seemed to fix it. and I got to the start up from area and could move the mouse so the mouse is working!
UPDATE! I took the top of and used my fingers since I know some of the keys need "refoaming" and entered service mode...
well after fixing all that stuff It seems the power supply might have died again. Its making the clicking sound it made a long time ago when I first got it I then replaced some caps and it worked fine, so I am guessing some more of the caps are bad. I did not have them before but I may have...
I got my keyboard today it looks to be in great condition. Is there a program I can run that will let me check the keys to see what one's I need to fix without having a hard drive yet? I do now have a mouse so I should be able to run anything I need too (Given the mouse/keyboard ports still work).
although I can not seem to run disk copy from the 512k :( I have some 400k and 800k disks that do not format I will try the bulk eraser on them and see if they are useable.
o you know what I have a bulk tape eraser, I was thinking of using it to see if it would revive some of my dead disks (400/800k ones) I am glad I thought the disks were different and then people told me they were not and it made it all confused.
finally got the HD-20 to boot (Had to dig for some Low D disks for the 512k) I am going to be asking in the trading post about some new 400k disks for the 512k and lisa.
well the lisa I found in a pile of free stuff one day, very lucky I may add, with some kind of sticky pop residue ALL over it, still the faint spackle of silver paint on part of it (the place I got it was used by this guy here who has a van covered with circuit boards that is probably where the...
the new board showed up today and worked great. (I have to adjust the image a bit) I also had to shorten the mouse cable about 5 inched because of a break inside cause one of the axis not to work but now it works great. now I need to figure out how to get me disks made on one of my other macs.
