Ah. With how little info there is out there about these cards, I didn't know there was a difference.
I do have a powerpump. Could you make a disk image of your floppy? Mine is partially corrupted, but luckily the control panel is still useable.
Dang, I didn't know that about removing the 68k...
Just curious, has anyone tried this upgrade to their PPC card? I have the skill set to attempt something like this, but I'd hate to cook my card cause of some difference between the IIci card referenced in the writeup and my card (no idea what 66mhz variant it is. Mine is being used in a Q950)...
Hm.. Ill take a picture of mine and report back. Obviously I'm used to cards that arent mac that get screwed in, and the way mine sit against the back panel just doesnt seem right.
As for the card, I posted the link here:

Hello again--
While looking at random quadra 950 parts, I came across an ad for a motherboard with this strange pds card. What's throwing me off is that its a pds card, has hd15 connector AND adb + appletalk(?) on it. Any clue what it is?
Also, on the case of the q950, how do you hook the card...
Huh. I saw that control panel and looked in it and saw 32bit was disabled. I didn't know what it was specifically for so I left it disabled. I will check it tonight and report back!
I have a home made adapter and a generic vga to apple's vga adapter. Both have the same issue. About 10 years ago...
I posted this on macrumors, but im also going to xpost on this forum to try and get as many brains on the issue to try and figure this out--
About once a year, I will work on my q950 before something catastrophic happens, which usually demotivates me from fixing it for another year. The last...
Hrm, using a CD Rom drive would be helpful, but if the SCSI controller isn't even seeing the hard drive from the same era, what are the chances of it seeing a cd drive? I also looked on ebay for scsi zip drives, and people want a bloody fortune for them!
Also, how would you be able to load a...
Unfortunately I do not own any SCSI zip drives. Was it possible for the Q950 to boot off of a CD Drive without any OS installed? Any other ideas as to why I'm getting an termination error on ID 4?
I will look into that--However I did mention that I tried a vintage apple drive with a passive terminator and got the same error, indicating that it is a problem with the computer, not the drive.
I am coming here in hopes to get another perspective on my problem. About a year ago, I wanted to put a 68-pin SCSI HDD in my Q950 due to the original drive failing. Right before I left for college, I managed to format a small partition on the drive using my beige G3. When I came home, I started...
Are you referring to the logo or the computer case? If you are referring to the logo, I think I have a lead on a bigger one on another forum. However, I did have to pull the logo off of my adjustable keyboard because someone had also tore the logo off of the powerbook 150 that I was using as a...
Hello--
So today when I went to use my quadra at my school, I looked at the front of it, and someone had pried the rainbow apple logo right of the front of my computer! Boy when I saw that I was furious. I requested the 4hr 30mn segment between when I used it last, and when I saw it at the...
Does the ram have to be the same speed? If it is 70ns like you say it is, could the fourth stick be 60ns, or would it not work with the other three sticks of 70ns ram?
Hello--
When I purchased my Q950, there were only 3 of these sticks plugged in, along with a couple of smaller 1mb modules.
I have been having a hard time figuring out what size these sticks are since I only have 3 of them, and have had no luck finding any on the internet, anywhere. I looked...
