no i think he means "raised" as in "raised". the powerbook 1xx series has a "terraced" top case, meaning the keyboard assembly mount is raised above the palm rest area, unlike most modern laptops which recess the keyboard mount area to keep the top case flush so the LCD can fit cleanly over it...
yeah this one has three fans, one for the "generic insides", one for the CPU and a really tiny one for the HD, and the CPU one will get a bit loud if you start to stress the machine. not a big deal though, and compared to my G4 which sounds like a continuous wind tunnel thats fine with me haha.
Its one of the original models from 2004, so pre-isight. Still a nice machine, and its designed better inside than the 20" models of the same era so hopefully this one won't have an explosive PSU lol

well the only difference between the QS PSU and the DA one is the QS has an additional 4pin molex connector which is not present on the DA's motherboard.
oh, and over the next little while i'm going to be going through all the HD's and optical drives and whatnot and putting them up for sale. i don't need five 4.3GB fireballs :p
OK well its not really a conquest as i didn't really save this G5 from destruction. it would be more accurate to say i saved it from a life of sitting on a desk not being used.
its a first-generation dual 2GHz model with 2GB ram and 2x 250GB HD's. the video card has also been upgraded to an...
