actually, is there a piece of software available which would allow somebody to edit a wiki, or upload one, from their desktop rather than having to do it via the website?
So i post his question to any/all windows geeks out there: how in the hell do i get rid of that goddamned language bar from the task bar? i keep deselecting it but it just keeps reappearing and its bugging the hell out of me. is there some sort of registry hack or preference pane i can go to...
i joined...i want to say august or september 2004, taking breaks throughout the 3 year period but keeping pretty steadily obnoxious through it all i believe.
that is also helped by the completely false stigma that TiBook's have reliability and build quality issues. The first generation did have its faults, but if you take care of them (like i hope you would take care of a multi-thousand dollar piece of equipment), they can last forever. Hell, I...
Apple uses a glob of green goo on the CPU, and nothing but thermal pads on the GPU and etc. its kind of a pain to clean off, but once you do get it clean and add arctic silver an odd downside is that the fan(s) start to spin more often as a greater amount of heat is being transferred from the...

truth of the matter is they have excellent build quality. any laptop will disintegrate if you mistreat it.
oh Nice! my favorite laptop of all time was a 1GHz TiBook! if you ever need any help with the hardware of those things let me know, i've taken them apart so many times i could do it blind-folded.
and as for the disc, just be patient, if the drive doesn't recognize it the disc it should (if it...
have you tried holding down the option key at boot with the OS9 disc in the machine? that will bring you to the OpenFirmware boot selector. you should be able to force the machine to boot from the disc.
yes, Ubuntu 7.04 likes the original AirPort cards just fine. just don't expect the same performance out of the machine as you would get with 10.3 or the like.
i don't think its a good idea. unless you are home all of the time and actually using it, or have it setup as a fileserver or the like it makes much more logical sense to turn it off if you are going to be away for several hours. no point in leaving a computer on if you're at school or work...
