    PowerBook 1400 cells

What kind of capacity should the AA cells have? Currently, the total capacity of the battery is 3500mAh, so if the AAs were to match that one, and I used 8, they would need to be about 450mAh each. However, most of the AAs and AAAs in the catalogue are rated at around 1500mAh. I'm guessing we...

    ClarisCAD

Well, I got version two and the Help files. Should be OK now. Does anyone have a scan of the box and/or the manuals? Doesn't really matter if I can't find these but it would be helpful. Just wish I could find a boxed copy rather than relying on everyone else to email me stuff.

    Recording Audio Tapes to CDs...???

I did this once using SimpleSound in OS9 on a PowerMac G4. Just connected the output of the tape recorder to the line input on the Macintosh and set all the levels correctly, and recorded it. Then i just saved it and copied each file into Toast and recorded a CD. Was quite a lot of hassle...

    ClarisCAD

Which version do you have? I did get version 1 in french a while back, but couldn't get it working until now, when I found out that I had to reduce the colours to 256 in BasiliskII. It now works but is in french which I don't understand. I could also do with a manual, but it does look a bit...

    ClarisCAD

Has anyone here used ClarisCAD? I am quite interested in trying it but I can hardly find any information on it, nor can I find anywhere to obtain it from. Does anyone know anything about it, or know where I could get it from? Cheers Steve

    PowerBook 1400 cells

Ah, so there are 2 cells in each of the four green things. I always wondered if the battery was made of four cells, or several groups of cells. Would the temperature and space thing be a problem? I wouldn't think they would get very hot.

    PowerBook 1400 cells

Does anyone know where I could obtain some new cells for my powerbook 1400's battery? Or if it is not possible to obtain new ones, are there any alternative cells that would work? Cheers Steve

    Hello from my wireless 1400cs

I have a WaveLAN card and used the WavLAN driver. I didn't download it from system7today but I'm pretty sure it is the same one. I will download it anyway and check. It all works perfectly in 8.6 with the orinoco driver. EDIT: I installed the 68k driver and it now seems to be working. I havn't...

    Hello from my wireless 1400cs

I have used Wireless on my 1400c with OS8.6, but not 7. I tried to set it up recently with 7.5 but the driver doesn't seem to work properly. Do I need 7.6?

    PowerMacintosh ONE/225

That would explain the strange logo then. Thanks. I checked in the system profiler and it said the system is a Power Macintosh 5500.

    PowerMacintosh ONE/225

According to the files and names on the machine, it belonged to the Media Studies department at Dinnington Comp. Maybe I can ask the person who safe it from the recyclers to ask the department about it. I am begining to like this machine, but I will probably have to get rid of it during the...

    PowerMacintosh ONE/225

The model number it has is M3046, which I think is the same as the model number for the 5300/5400/5500 (not sure which). The sticker on the bottom says it was manufactured in 1998.

    PowerMacintosh ONE/225

The label on the front says Power Macintosh ONE/225. http://emaculation.com/steve/one.jpg I don't know where the person who gave it to me got 5300 from, but he did get it out of a skip at school.

    PowerMacintosh ONE/225

Has anyone come accross one of these? I went to collect a Power Macintosh 5300 from someone earlier, and when I got it home (which resulted in my arms and hands aching alot) and found out that instead of it being a 100MHz 5300, it is actually a Power Macintosh ONE/225, with a 225MHz processor...

    New Store items?

I was going to buy the happy mac logo thing as happy macs are really cute, but decided not to when I found that postage is $4. Maybe next month I will order one.
