    SE/30 ... finally!

Not yet, i'm still tweaking my 3d print setup for RaSCSI, that takes some time, and i have another problem with a Q650. If you are able to get a picture of the capacitor in question i would be grateful. However, the printing on these is extremely tiny, i doubt you will be able to read...

    Italian Linen Cover

We have an unspoken understanding, he hides the package so I'm barely able to retrieve it, i get heart palpitations while searching for the stuff i paid hard cash for. Remember the DVDs and chocolate i sent you a decade ago? That was my man. :giggle:

    Italian Linen Cover

Since when is going broke an acceptable excuse? ;) So i was playing Glider 4 on my balcony, as one does when it's end of October and 23°C, when i heard the postman toss a package into the neighbors trash can. 5 minutes later: Only thing that i don't like is that the power cord is in the...

    Easter Egg Image Centris/Quadra 610/650

Awesome! Pulling different keyboards from storage later, if that doesn't help i'm giving up.

    Easter Egg Image Centris/Quadra 610/650

I did not, and i'm not sure what i do wrong. My Quadra 650 has no upgrades, it's a plain old 68040. I have 136MB of RAM, and it takes a lot of time to check it at boot time. Pressing ESC + l + f + w causes the keyboard to become unresponsive. I have to unplug it (ADB is hotplugable, right...

I just ordered a handmade, italian linen cover for my SE/30 and keyboard on Ebay (search 275298261159). We like nice things, don't we?

Heat sink i guess, under it you find the CPU.

    Easter Egg Image Centris/Quadra 610/650

    Pulled out a Quadra 650, tried ESC + l + f + w on boot, nothing happens except that keyboard and mouse don't register in MacOS. Reboot doesn't change it. Once i zap the PRAM with Command-Option-P-R it's working again. Same with ESC + s + e + t. How confident are we that ESC + s + e + t should...

    Bunch of Sun SCSI devices

That should be 3.5 inch Sun disk with 2.5 inch IBM disk. I looked for a nice printable adapter, but didn't find one. Amazon carton (under the disk) and garden string it is then: That disk is going nowhere for now.

    IBM 2.5 SCSI Server disks

The jumpers are set to REM and ID0, because that's what they came with. Nothing else on the bus, worked in a SE/30. Not at all, that's why i recommend these. Had a lot other disks that are noisy. The 10k RPM model seems somewhat rare, because usually customers in datacenters don't care about...

    IBM 2.5 SCSI Server disks

These are great, 5ms random seek time and almost no noise at all. To put them into anything with a 50 pin SCSI cable, you need an SCA 80 pin to 50 pin adapter. The search i use at Ebay: IBM 2.5 10k U320 -sas There is one in the UK for an acceptable price: The adapter search: sca scsi adapter...

    Bunch of Sun SCSI devices

Sadly i was to late for the Sun server that this stuff belonged to, Sun Enterprise something, something. Looked like a small fridge.

    Bunch of Sun SCSI devices

A CD Rom, a hard disk and two tape drives, also 4 new 12GB tapes. The hard disk is tested and works with a SE/30. I replaced the 5 1/2 inch Sun disk with a 3 1/4 inch IBM disk, which according to Lido not only seeks faster, but is also a lot less noisy. I think i'll keep this and sell my Rodime...

    chiptripper's finds

Many people have no clue, it's best to give them a hint that lack of care might cost their money (if bought via Ebay). I hope this wasn't your money!
