Looking sane as usual 😁

A couple around the serial asic.. looked fine but the via was not doing its job due to battery spill rot. Thanks.. That's what I love about this forum.. ☺some great folks on here.

Ive narowed it down to UD16.. it boots and works fine if i put iso on and around UD16.. weird. Otherwise it just does bad chime and no video. Its not the cooling effect cos I tried freezer spray and no joy. UD16 is the SRAM connected to the serial asic.

In other news ☺ Still something wrong but omg now it boots to the desktop if I apply a layer of iso thanks to a couple of bad traces I fixed.

Great idea.. I might try the diagnostics mode if I can do it mac to mac.

Oh and it did this once.. when i mashed the nmi button.

Replaced both SRAM ics ☺ oh and gave it a bath in iso..

Progress ☺ happy mac.. then starts to boot and stops.. mouse kb and nmi still work. Only boots at all if i drench the board in iso.. otherwise its sad chime and no video. more investigation needed. But so pleased its getting past the grey screen now.

Whats a/ux like on a IIci.. speedwise? I'm thinking of giving it a go?

@Phipli yep 25MHz.. a great lil mac if ya dont need nubus slots, Cos them adapters are hard to find.

Popping the ADB ASIC off..swapped with a spare which made no difference, I also tried swapping the SRAM that goes with it.

It does the same thing.. left it for ages.. Still square grey screen with no mouse pointer.

Here's a video of what it's doing.. I replaced Q1 in the adb circuit but it does the same thing with or without Q1 even being present.
