Overclock LC475/P475/Q605 without soldering or spicy-o-clock

How about some oddball frequencies too: 35Mhz, 37Mhz. Just to try, I'm not sure how far my LC040 could go anyway.

    PPC750GX vs. PPC750GL?

Didn't Xlr8's Mach Speed Tools support setting that PLL too? I don't know if it had that same software problems that CPU Director had. I swear I remember trying it one time under OS X but went back for some reason.

    PPC750GX vs. PPC750GL?

I've always understood it was an intentional block from using G4s (specifically from the Yikes! most likely). Apple just being an a**. I think Powerlogix's CPU Director (to set the PLL) had to be updated for each version (from my time using my 750gx) and they stopped at 10.4.9 I think.

Ooo, someone could put a nice GUI front end on it, ala Daystars QuadControl or something similar.

    PowerCenter Pro 60MHz Bus

Generally, if they had dip switches it was for adjusting the bus speeds and multiplier.

    PowerCenter Pro 60MHz Bus

I think the Z-Force from Powerlogix had dip switch setting for up to 60MHz, I don't know if they went beyond it. The manual on the waybackmachine has its dip switch image corrupted, of course.

Anybody have any experience with those USB to ADB adapters about everywhere. Any latency to them?

Have you tried a known good PCI video card yet? Make sure to seat that PCI riser card good. I know you already do, but still

    Modern Claris Works

What about Apple's Pages and Numbers applications? They're separate applications but they're pretty foolproof, being native Apple apps. I can't tell if that's what you meant by iWork. They haven't been called that in some time.

Overclock LC475/P475/Q605 without soldering or spicy-o-clock

I'm going to try my 475 when I get home this afternoon, unless someone else wants to try. Hopefully my rasPi ethernet bridge still works.

Overclock LC475/P475/Q605 without soldering or spicy-o-clock

Do you have any issues with outputting any resolution aside from 640x480 when changing the clock? Maybe stupid question, gotta ask though.

Overclock LC475/P475/Q605 without soldering or spicy-o-clock

I take it the resistors are just setting the boot up frequency. This is neat but I wish I had a full 040 in mine, and not an LC. I've heard they don't overclock over 33MHz well.

Testing 333MHz IBM 604ev 288in PGA module with G3 carrier for a PCI Mac

I think the IIfx had a lot of performance left on the table, it used a bunch of ASICs Mac OS didn't apparently do anything with (I've always heard).

Testing 333MHz IBM 604ev 288in PGA module with G3 carrier for a PCI Mac

I swear I was watching a video about some of the CPU development Apple was working on in the 90s. It was the reason they bought that Cray too. Here it be:

I'm surprised Apple didn't really do any dual or quad chips for an actual server platform, that might have been able to take advantage of it. I know Applefritter used to be hosted off a weird prototype ANS.

Just in quick perusal at work, this is very neat. Excellent work. I'll let the more technical members scrutinize it, though, first before giving you a thousand internet points.

    IIci Mystery PDS Card

Depending on the price and the distance, it might be worth it. A IIci is a decent little box.

    IIci Mystery PDS Card

It looked so boring and unacclerated looking, it wasn't even worth mentioning. Might be one of the 'big' 128K cache cards, though.
