After a million years after asking about people experience with lag and such with them, I've bought a Wombat ADB-to-USB adapter to use on my old Macs. The cats have destroyed my original ADB peripherals. Still love them though.

    Macintosh 68060 Redux

Would a hardware solution between the 68060 and the rest of the 040/030-based machine be something the Amiga accelerators used. Some sort of compatibility layer.

Was going to say the same, but the previous G3 versus G4 discussion was already linked.

    Macintosh 68060 Redux

Much akin to Intel Macs, or PowerPC macs during the transition to the next. Why would anyone spend time developing for a dead platform. I'm impressed with the numbers and then much less so. Clock for clock, I was reading that an 060 should be outperforming an 040 by 2 or even 3 times. There...

    Macintosh 68060 Redux

Im pretty sure no one is using an 040-powered machine for productivity anymore. Unless its in some industrial equipment or something, in which case its very doubtful you'll be throwing some weird third-party upgrade into it. Especially doubtful its a Mac too, anyway. I'm actually excited...

Take that Amiga nerds./s I was just saying to myself there's nothing interesting going on in the classic Mac sphere at the moment. Thank you for this. Neat!

    Two G4s in a beige!

I don't think I've ever come across an Apple ZIF with a fixed anything.

adding 4mb SGRAM to PowerPC 5500/6500 ... and possible ATi Rage Pro upgrade

I think the Turbo wasnt a real upgrade, so I doubt its a different pinout. They just did some driver trickery with it. I think that's the right one i'm thinking of.

    PPC750GX vs. PPC750GL?

Ive never seen that style, clearly marked as a 750fx too with dip switches. Maybe a weird Japanese brand one.

Overclock LC475/P475/Q605 without soldering or spicy-o-clock

No, it works fine on mine which had the resistor based overclock.

My 21" Apple Studio Display (Blueberry - CRT) Restoration Project

I agree. I always heard, back in the day when I would send mine in to Apple to get "fixed", that it was only the smaller 17" that suffered from this. I always wanted that huge 21, though. Nice documentation too.

    Two G4s in a beige!

I'm listening in as this is a interesting topic. Did the secondary CPU have to be "MPe" or multiprocessor enabled, akin to Daystars marketing at the time?
