    "ultimate" 68k machine

Would it possible to add a faster 040 (like the 40mhz one in the Quadra 840AV) and then overclock it to 50mhz?

    Woo! TechStep!

Well, I just bought a TechStep from eBay. It was $42 shipped ($30 without). Good deal? I think so! It also has the case and two ROM packets. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=270217357456&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=017

    New Apple IIgs

The idea is to create a succesor to the Apple IIGS. I personally like Apple IIfx for the name. The idea is to keep the same design philosophy but speed it up. That means the seven slots, plus the memory expansion slot. For one thing, the memory expansion slot could be upgraded to just be a...

    "ultimate" 68k machine

besides with a Thunder IV, the 900 would win. I mean there was very few programs that took advantage of the DSP

    New Apple IIgs

Well, yes they did depend on the speed. But that is why the IIGS has an underclocking feature built into it. We could call it the Apple IIfx (yeah and sell it for $10k!). What I wonder is, how fast computers would be if they had remained stagnant in speed, then the proccesor speed was greatly...

    New Apple IIgs

There was a Terbium 32-bit 6502 successor from Western Design Center. But of course, it got canceled. There have been a few hobbyist attempts to create 32-bit 6502s, but with no luck. I'm not sure how, but perhaps we could take the 65832 design and speed it up somehow. Does anyone know how a...

    New Apple IIgs

well, if I were to do this. I think a better project would be a completely new Apple II that is usable for today's purposes. Something based on the 65832 (if was completed enough to write a working Verilog version, or so I've heard).

    Mac Classic II

Hi, I just got my first compact, and my first 68k for that matter. Now, I am having issues with it. I thinking it may be the analog board that has the issue. It has these weird two rows of lines that are parallel. I did take everything out and do extensive alcohol cleaning, so I don't think...
