    No, upper part means display and keyboard part, lower part means lower case with hdd, floppy, logic board with daughter board etc.

    And there is also a limitation when an old Mac is used as a SCSI hard disk (for copying files) - to avoid data loss. 3 GB (?) I think.

    You don't need to "clone" it. Simply copy files and folders to the new destination. This works from System 6.x to 9.x.
