Hello MLAers! We've re-enabled auto-approval for accounts. If you are still waiting on account approval, please check this thread for more information.
I have one of those re-flashed Radeon 7000 cards. While it boots to a desktop and runs the OS just fine, if you try to run a 3d accelerated game (Mechwarrior 2 RAVE, Deus Ex in hardware mode) all I get is a black screen and a lockup. Is there a way to better diagnose this issue, or should I give...
xboxown: I hate to disappoint you further, but I don't think anyone else has pointed out the fact that the accelerator discussed in the original post of the thread is only compatible with the IIe, not the IIgs. To get a IIgs accelerator, you'll either have to get one of the cloned TransWarp...
TimHD: I'd seen those, but the shipping from Australia to Illinois is as much as the panel. If someone in the US was making them, I'd be more interested.

On that page, you can find a .bin file that contains Stuffit 5.5. I assume that Stuffit 4 can open a MacBinary file. Give that a try, and let us know how it works.
PS: welcome to the Mystic club! I put one together this summer, and it's...
Is anyone able and willing to do this VGA mod on an analog board that I send to them? I'm not confident enough to perform the surgery on my own machine, but I'd love to have the results.
Well, I'd imagine that the PowerBook is looking for far more than 5V, unfortunately. Couldn't tell you what the pinout of the battery connector is though.
If we're speaking of Logo implementations for the Mac, that's a thing I'd like to know more about. I know of LCSI's MicroWorlds product, and an old piece of software named Turbo Turtle that can be found on the Garden, but that's about all I'm familiar with. I'd love to find a version that can...
Well, I wound up acquiring a Sonnet Crescendo G4 450/1M and installing it, and I'll be putting it through its paces soon. Thanks for the advice, everyone.
I have had some amount of luck manually changing creator and file type codes on disk images and getting them to mount through Disk Copy. As I recall, creator "dCpy" and file type "dimg" should do the trick.
Hm. According to a comment on the Garden's page for Disk Copy, 6.3.3 will only work on System 7.1.1 and up, which I did not know before. Might be worth giving a try anyway, if you haven't? It looks like there's an app on the Garden named MountImage that may or may not work for what you're doing.
It might be worth trying Disk Copy 6.3.3 instead of 4.5. If you don't mind answering, what software are you trying to transfer across, and where did you get it from? We might be able to find it in a better format elsewhere; if you can find it as floppy images, your floppy emu will have a great...
I have a re-flashed Radeon 7000 that I've been using in my PM9600. I have the drivers installed, but they didn't come with the requisite control panel. Does anyone know where I can find such a beast? Does it exist? There's an OS X version on the Garden but no OS 9 version.
