Why on earth is the max ram in this Mac an odd amount? I haven't tried to put a 32mb simm in the slot labeled 16mb max... But I was curious if anyone ever tried, or modified this? What's the biggest hard drive you have ever run in one of these? Mine still has the factory 500mb disk.

My performa 631 just dropped dead. Cause was the power supply. Picked one up on eBay for $18. Not bad. Geez... Between the logic board in my centris, monitor blowing on my 800 and now this I'm starting to feel like I own some classic cars.

Noticed another thing... I let the machine run after I checked the voltages and noticed the processor was warm when I came back... I know the 040's ran warm, but this guy is doing nothing. Also, the num, caps and scroll lock lights flash when initially powered on... So the keyboard is posting.

Monitor currently in use is a 15" Apple Multiple Scan... Came originally with a Macintosh Color Display that still works, just on a different machine. I did try this monitor and no monitor... Same result. PRAM battery checks good too.

Just tested it. All values are spot on. Power supply is fine.
