    Music software for Mac Classic?

MIDI keyboard? Where would someone come across these things? XD

Use your modern mouse with Compact Macs!

Ahh... What a shame. I've seen ADB to PS2 adapters before, but there's no way I'm paying 30 dollars for an adapter when I can probably get an original mouse for around $15. I can definitely see the use for the earliest of Macs though, peripherals for those must be through the roof. D: Also...

Color Classic flyback transformer smells like fish

Sorry, but it seems your flyback is infected... It will need to either be washed thoroughly, or replaced. :c Haha, sorry man, I had to, but best of luck with getting it fixed! Here's to hoping. :D

Use your modern mouse with Compact Macs!

Wow, this could be REALLY useful for me once I'm capable of using my Classic again. Put me on the waiting list, I won't be able to get it back until christmas at the earliest. XP

    Vintage Software Liscencing

Personally, I think the whole thing is ridiculous. IMHO, as long as they no longer sell it, you should be able to download it free as you wish, upon other reasons because some of us have partners who don't like for us to drop hundreds of dollars on old hardware, god forbid old software. If I...

    Fifty Shades Of Graphite

Ooh, nice find! Isn't graphite one of the more rare flavors of iMac? Also, if those "piles of indigo iMacs" are anywhere near Escondido, could you save me one? Haha, jk. XD

    A rescued relic (Macintosh Classic)

Yeah, I actually do enjoy the chunky, simplistic design of the thinkpad series, as well as the look of the colorful IBM logo on the simple, black background. No glazed over "smooth" metallic shell that smudges up easy, but rather a nice, matte finish. I'll keep the Thinkpad in mind for sure. :3

    A rescued relic (Macintosh Classic)

Alright!~ It was moreso a matter of design than anything else, but I do really need an upgrade. My current laptop is a Dell Latitude D610, and it won't even play Minecraft. I'll look into PCs too though. Also, I already have an iBook G3 DualUSB I paid out the nose for thinking it was a G4. XD

    A rescued relic (Macintosh Classic)

I know this probably isn't the best time nor place to ask this, but what was the last laptop Apple sold in white? Because I was under the assumption that they were only available in the aluminum coloration, which really is what put me off about Intel Macs. Alternatively, which white Macbook or...

    Music software for Mac Classic?

Alright, I went last time for Cubase but the downloads need to be fixed because they're old Megaupload links. And these don't require any kind of hardware add-ons?

    A rescued relic (Macintosh Classic)

Hmm... I know it's not much different from emulation, but could the s-video cable hooked from my laptop into my Classic send the proper signals for a mouse somehow? I really doubt it can since it's not very practical, but if it were at all possible... Also, I've always thought Quadra was such...

    A rescued relic (Macintosh Classic)

So whatever, let's get that behind us. I saved this particular example from a very untimely death and that's all I'm trying to get at. I'm sorry, but I really don't care about how "green" something is, and I'd rather not have this topic turn into debate hall on the ethics of computer recycling...

    Tangerine Dream

Woah, nice find! I love the G3 iMacs, and Tangerine looks good on them. :3

Hmm... Maybe Hobby Lobby carries them?

    A rescued relic (Macintosh Classic)

Yeah, e-Bay. I know, it exists and that's where most people go to get their stuff but I'm not like most people. I make minimum wage and don't even have a bank account, so there's no way I can use PayPal. In addition, you forgot all about the large grey cloud labeled "reserve price" always...

    A rescued relic (Macintosh Classic)

Well, the battery worked when I bought it... The computer also came with 10.3, but like an idiot I took the 10.1 disc the warehouse owner gave me with the computer and installed that over it, so that could have something to do with it as well. I believe it used to be a school computer since it...

    A rescued relic (Macintosh Classic)

I can still power the iBook on, I just have to lay the power cord down in a very particular way, and can NEVER move it. The frayed area isn't on the cord itself, rather on the hard part where the somewhat cylindrical item that plugs into the computer meets the hard plastic area that tapers down...

    A rescued relic (Macintosh Classic)

Hehe, thanks! My first was an iBook G3 DualUSB I bought when my old Dell D610 died. I went into the shop thinking it was a G4 and paid $120 for it, even after giving the shop my Toshiba Sattellite and the pieces of my D610 for store credit. (Shouldn't have done that, my everyday laptop now is...

    Music software for Mac Classic?

I was just wondering are there any decent, easy to use music composers that will run on a Mac Classic without and add-ons? And if not, what's the best/most easily available? Thanks in advance! : D

    A rescued relic (Macintosh Classic)

Hehe, yeah. I've brought this up with them several times, but their argument is that no one would buy computers from Goodwill, whereas the only real problem with that is advertising. If people knew Goodwill was selling computers at low prices, people would flock to the stores. I mean, there's...
