Hi,
I have a single key (dot on the numeric pad) on my M0487 keyboard that doesn't work. I cleaned the keys and membrane but that didn't fix the issue.
I found a similar conductive paint here and some images of the inside of the keyboard: Apple Keyboard II
Is it fairly easy to open i.e. I can...
Playing Star Wars, if I pause the game and open the File menu, I always get either a bus error or error 10.
I removed the 4*256KB RAM to only keep 1MB, I then installed Mode32 and enabled 32 bits but that didn't sort the issue.
I tried again with Mac OS 7.0.1 and it worked. Does it mean I have...
I haven't enabled the 32 bit addressing. Is that by installing Mode 32?
Could it be an issue with the RAM / would it be worth running a memory test with a suitable application?
Hi,
I'm using a Mac SE 30 running Mac Os 7.5.3 + 5MB RAM with a BlueSCSI v2 and I started playing with shufflepuck cafe.
Strangely it generates an Error Type 10 after playing for a few minutes. I have to reset the Mac to use it again.
Any idea what could be the issue ?
Thanks
Thanks for the info. I will order some new capacitors and replace them.
Is the better approach to remove them is to apply heat and twist with a plier ?
No but I guess I have to go through it (found this: https://recapamac.com.au/macintosh-se-30/)
Is it fairly easy to do if you gently twist the capacitors to remove them or very risky for those who've done it ?
Is there a specific capacitor that should fix the sound issue as an attempt not to...
Hi,
My Mac SE30 sound doesn't work either.
I tried with a different speaker -> no sound. I tested the built-in speaker with a different source, it works. If I plug headphones, I hear something but the sound is very low.
The capacitors seem to be ok.
Hi
I'm getting a Mac SE30 with a BlueSCSI v2 to replace the HD and I'd like to push the RAM to 32MB.
What SIMM reference should I be looking online to purchase online ?
Hi,
I have Mac Classic that I'm trying to fix. It displays the same error 00000001 0000FFFF.
Is there a way to fix without changing a chip ? Note that I have a BlueSCSI v2 if it helps.
@Uked31 I'm interested in the steps you carried at the end to sort the issue. Could you please send me a copy...
Hi,
I ended up building a new machine swaping the motherboard, adding some RAM to have a single good working Mac SE.
I will try to sell what remains from the other one for parts (CRT is dead).
This is indeed the case, there's a blue glow inside the neck of the CRT with a sound similar to the video.
I can use this Mac for parts I'm afraid.
I got 2 old Mac SE, both have M5011 written at the back, the only difference being one has FHDH written on the front case.
With the FDHD CRT...
Hi,
I bought an old Mac SE FDHD (model 5011) which I'm trying to fix and bring back to life.
When I start the Mac, the screen remains black/off and there's a loud noise inside.
I opened the case and I took the following photos.
I removed the card attached to the screen and it look ok.
Any idea ?
Hi,
I bought a Mac SE 5011 which is missing the keyboard.
What are the compatible keyboard? For instance will the M0487 and M2980 models work ?
Thanks
Bill
