I had set up Remote Access in the 90s for a friend to dial into my network and share files/play games and was wondering if there is other software that does the same/similare but over the internet capable of the same?
I found drivers for Linux and MacOS and the plan was to just share using cups once I could establish a connection. I'll come back to it at some point, I'm currently upgrading/cleaning up my home network.
After installing PAP and confirming it was installed and many hours of trying to get it to print to my ImageWriterII I found a GitHub of someone who discovered that PAP had a bug making it not compatible with the ImageWriter printers and they had begun looking into it but discovered it was way...
@mactjaap Is MacIPgw compatable with PAP for Appletalk printing? I was thinking it might be useful to some to make it possible to connect to a Appletalk enabled ImageWriter with the pi and reshare it as something a modern protocol. There are a couple drivers for the ImageWriter for modern...
Not sure if this helps at all, Peter N Lewis (peter.lewis@info.curtin.edu.au) wrote a program called Bolo Finder that searched a tracker that was run by Mike Ellis. Perhaps if they can be contacted they might have some useful information. In the help document Peter Lewis provides several e-mail...
Came across these at Excess Solutions in San Jose lots of SIM sockets especially 30 pin. The only angled ones however are plastic clips. I figured anyone rebuilding a SE might be interested in these.
The scsi2sd has termination that can be enabled or disabled in software. I’ve seen it cause issues and I’ve seen it not. If the intent is to have an internal drive then no problem but if you don’t it could cause problems.
Those resister packs judging by their location are internal termination, this was common to see on early SCSI cards and would be installed if you were not using an internal drive.
Reset the PRAM. I had to do this three times in a row to get one of these working again, somehow it had become terribly corrupted. I would also highly recommend completely disassembling it and throughly cleaning out dust as that can make connections for stuff like ram less than ideal and that...
There was a Darwin project that brought support to the internal floppy drive of the Beige G3 in OS X. I could find the original page but the links are broken and couldn't retrieve them from the wayback machine. Does anybody happen to have this software or know where it can be found...
Thanks for the suggestions. I pulled out the plastic arms and discovered it had actually worked its way out just enough as to not engage the switch. I should remember by now to check the simplest possibilities first.
I think the rest button on my SE/30 may have gone bad. Does anyone know a part number for it if I end up having to solace it? I hope a solder joint has just come loose.
I've tried opening the instructions to make one with several different versions of MacDraw II and can't get it to open. Anyone else have any luck? This is from the download on Macintosh Garden.
