    Macintosh SE/30 with a VDR-2a video card!

Wow, that graphics card is neat! And with a useable output for a standard monitor... I have an SE with videocard, but no idea as to what signal comes out of the DB15 connector, betting it ain't VGA :) Still to research, witll have to probe a bit with my scope before guessing!

    Durosity’s conquests and collection

Cool, is also still one to add to my collection. As most I started with the coloured G3 iMac's and the iMac G4 because of the higher "cool" factor, but yes for completeness an emac is still needed...

Not a "conquest" per se, but sure going to come in handy!

SE/30 doesn't like new 4MB SIMMs: Any thoughts?

I think it's a typical issue, the pcb's being just slightly thinner. I've seen people stick small pieces of paper between the simm's and the retainer clips just to increase pressure on the pads/contacts.

    Dual booting Apple Lisa

Been looking for several weeks now for a profile, would indeed love one but don't really see them pop up!

    Dual booting Apple Lisa

Thanks guys! Once I have the snapshot of my widget, I will do the installs as per your method. I think the guys at BMOW ships an SD card with most of the needed Lisa software. If that all works, there is one last piece left is the big clean-up, re-assembly and seeing what I can do with the...

Mac SE FDHD lines on screen no boot chime

Yup, just be very gentle with the plastic retaining pieces, they snap easily. Some Deoxit would also be a good strategy!

    Dual booting Apple Lisa

Well, I saw this video just recently: It's a Lisa 2/5 with the external 5MB Profile. I have a Lisa 2/10 with MacWorks XL 3.0 installed on the Widget. My Lisa runs of the H/88 rom, does not have the hardware mod for the square pixels, so should be able to run both MacWorks and LisaOS. In...

    Two SEs & Accessories - $300

BBU, short for the Bob Bailey Unit, combines a whole lot of functions which were handled by individual chips (PLA's) in earlier Macs. One of the issues you had before with the display being garbled,, well, the BBU handles memory access for the video, so the sypmtoms make an bit more sense now...

    Two SEs & Accessories - $300

Sure looks a whole lot better, but I just worry the BBU itself might be toast due to the pins being shorted out or being in the wrong place before... ---edit--- Phipli beat me by a nanosecond :ROFLMAO:

    Vintage lot (of work)

Vintage computing seems to be rather popular in Italy, bought several items on Ebay from Italy, there are quite some sellers from there, and mostly fairly priced as well!

    Two SEs & Accessories - $300

Guess you have found the reason why the LB won't work! How does the socket looks like? You might be able to get yourself a cheap battery leak damaged SE board where the BBU is not affected...

The slow process of coaxing my Lisa (2/10) back to life

Could if I want 😉 I aim to not try to accomplish too much in one day! When I have a "win", my day is good. Especially on the Lisa, I try to go one step at a time, getting to anxious trying to get multiple wins, one might get tired/sloppy and mess something up, and with the Lisa it's not like...

The slow process of coaxing my Lisa (2/10) back to life

Now waiting on my floppy EMU, should arrive early next week... And get BLU running so I can make a snapshot of the rather odd OS version on the Widget. Then, get the original Lisa OS on there, so I get the machine as close as possible to where GUI computing, as we still use today, got its...

The slow process of coaxing my Lisa (2/10) back to life

A humongous 387K of storage available, whooheee! Moved a file (ttt, my "quick brown fox" keyboard test) over, and yup, wrote it nicely to the floppy.
