The wash is some ammonia and some acetone diluted in water. The acetone is for removing finger polish isn't it? I would guess the water dilutes it enough to not eat through it?

Now I must ask this: On uniserver's capacitor reference, there are only 3 47uF capacitors in this area, here there are 4. I am guessing this is a different revision board?

I was creating boot floppies for my Color Classic on my iMac G3 Slot Loading, then I left it alone for a few hours on an After Dark screen saver. I came back to it, and wanted to add some programs to the CC, but it didn't connect to the internet! Classilla just says the website cannot be found...

Now I feel dumb. It just needs the hard drive plugged in. When you pull the motherboard, something starts ticking (bad caps ticking). Is that caps, or the power supply doesn't have anything to start, like the LC PSUs do.

Here's the board. I checked all the caps, and none are installed backwards. The socket in question (see first post) is the VRAM slot on an LC, so I would assume it is the same for a CC? The VRAM is not present in the CC, so is that causing a problem?
