Hello MLAers! We've re-enabled auto-approval for accounts. If you are still waiting on account approval, please check this thread for more information.
I've got to ask, and sorry to derail this, was this on ebay? I wouldn't mind a rocket... Nothing's coming up, so guessing it is overseas eBay or something else.
The write spread matters because the old drives can really only go to 4x reliably, with really old ones, less. By old drive, I mean 1995-1996 ish and earlier. If the original disc works, then your problem lies in how you're burning the disc, most likely. The old drives are super sensitive...
Don't say that! The CC just happens to be one of the less friendly models to work with. Literally anything 1990-1991ish and down would be easier to work with. And minus the Classics.
You might be able to find an original, just ask around here, someone might have one. They are getting kind of hard to find.
Don't remember who made it, but it was probably Bolle. It was someone in Europe I remember.
Don't take my word it's a goner though, I don't really have much experience in...
Hard to say without a close up, but I think it looks like it's going to be real tough to get it going. Looks like all the faded traces may be bad, I could be wrong though. That battery juice looks like it flowed around rather than stay localized, and it looks like it's sat for years, eating...
All it takes is for someone to make some sort of web rendering program that runs on a Pi, that outputs its web "video"/control to an older Mac... That would bypass all these issues.
If you can find a way to use it daily, it may be worth it, but anything web related is pretty much impossible now. Graphic design, yes. Word processing, yes. Games, yes. Internet, no.
You can try checking in with Thomas at Amiga of Rochester. I knows he's got a bit of a backlog right now, but if you don't mind waiting at least a couple weeks, I'd use him.
That sounds fun, hope you find it!
It looks like it is in the "Totally Rad Mac Programs" disk, page 2 https://vintageapple.org/macbooks/pdf/Totally_Rad_Mac_Programs_2nd_Edition_1994.pdf
Many of those "totally rad" programs DO sound pretty rad :)
That's what I'm seeing too. Definitely not a rocket or anything, but it ain't a Toby either. Looks comparable to the mid/higher end Radius PrecisionColor Pro cards with acceleration on?
Might have to build one...
So here are the results of a Speedometer test with a Thunder/24 nubus card from LEM.
computer 1-bit 2-bit 4-bit 8-bit

Personally, I would think azul is like a "flavor" of bluescsi, looking at this with little to no context. Azul means blue in a different language, so it's like a different bluescsi. At least that's how I'd see it. I wouldn't expect it to be the exact same, but from the name, would think it would...
