Is that a volume of birds or fish? :)

512k Enchanced with all the fixins (incl. boxes!)

Amazing! I'm not much of a pre-SE guy either, but I recognize a beautiful find when I see one. The boxes look like they're in remarkably good condition. Better condition than my Mac Pro box, even (thanks, FedEx). :)

    What do you guys think?

Thanks fellas. I went ahead and offered $40 for it, and he accepted. As it turns out, he's a collector too and has a COMPLETE Macintosh TV with original box, remote, documentation, etc. ... this was his extra. :) He also had one of the black Apple set-top boxes. First time I'd ever seen one...

    What do you guys think?

A guy I know is selling a Macintosh TV (the black one) -- here's the thing, tho. He's only got the computer and the keyboard... no mouse, no cables, and no remote. I can find the remote on eBay for under $10. Not worried about that. But he is asking $50 for just the computer & keyboard...

    AppleVision 1710AV Display

Oh man... I had that monitor for years until it went *pop* one day and never worked again. It was a BEAST to move around for LAN parties & whatnot, but I LOVED that monitor. I check eBay every now & then to see if anyone is selling one, but I haven't seen one in a looooong time. Nice...

    G4 Cube!

I can cross another one off my wishlist. Picked up a G4 Cube off of craigslist this past weekend for $100. It's in fantastic condition -- and its the only Cube I've seen in recent years that doesn't have the stress crack between the top screws and the air vent!! Here are the specs: 500MHz G4...

stuff for rebuilding the G4 Quicksilver

My dual 800 QS is still running fine, but I have a QS 867 with a dead PS. It ran for years and then just died one day. Power supplies for these things on ebay often cost more than the computer is worth ...

    Sonnet bonanza!

After a week of traveling across the country (from Oregon), the cards arrived Friday. I've been too busy to play with them so far, unfortunately. This is my first experience with Sonnet cards -- do they have any required software to run these cards, or can I just plug them in?

    Sonnet bonanza!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220396704412 I saw this on eBay last night just before bed. Thought, "eh, what the hell" and but a max. bid of $25 on it, and went to bed. Got home from work today to find out I can now convert my Radius 81/110, WGS8150 and 6100 to G3s :)...

    IIci with cache card

Excellent. I did a little research on the leaking caps phenomenon and immediately checked my IIsi & IIfx. No signs of leakage in either one. I think I'll power them up this weekend just to be sure.

    IIci with cache card

Power supply click -- nope. Leaking capacitors -- yep. The photos he sent me weren't the sharpest I've ever seen -- but I've seen leaking transisitors before, and his photos didn't show any sign of it. Now that I've stuck my nose in there, I can definitely see the wet spots, even though there...

    IIci with cache card

Finally got a closer look at this thing. I can't tell which version of cache card this thing has because the system won't even turn on. The seller assured me that it powered on normally. I've tried different outlets & power chords and it won't come on. Also, it looks like the SIMMs are 1mb...

    IIci with cache card

Every RAM slot is filled with what appears to be 8mb SIMMs. I've only done a quick visual check and will be testing it out this week since I had company at the house all weekend.

Mac Plus and some other goodies

I might be wrong, but I think there's one of these Brainstorm accel's on eBay right now in the Vintage Apple section. It's listed as a Plus accelerator and has the same oblique-angled memory chips.

    IIci with cache card

Found a guy on eBay selling two IIci's. Turns out he's based just up the road from where I work. He runs an eBay consignment store. Someone dropped these off and he didn't know anything about them other than that they powered up and had RAM & hard drives. I won one of them that came with a...

    Color LaserWriter 12/660

Toner for the CLW is actually fairly easy to find so far -- I've found replacement yellow and black carts for as little as $8 on eBay already. Also got some Fuser Oil -- which is good, because I think that would've been one of the hardest things to find. The developer kit might take some...

    Color LaserWriter 12/660

I have a certain fondness that a lot of Mac collectors don't have -- I love Apple's printers. I wish they hadn't stopped making them. I have an ImageWriter II, a StyleWriter II and a LaserWriter IINTX. I followed an ad on Craigslist and found a near-mint condition Color LaserWriter 12/660 that's...

    £20 well spent (I hope!?!?)

Nice find on the IIfx... between that and the 840AV, I'd say you got a deal worth much more than the amount paid. The IIvi is a nice find, too. You see a fair amount of IIvx's but rarely it's little brother. They only made the IIvi for 4 months. I'm working patiently to max out my IIfx at 128mb...
