I despise horizontal scrolling as well. I've noticed that certain threads in this forum force me to scroll horizontally on my iBook with 1024x768 resolution. Like this thread for example:

I believe the culprit is extremely long URL's.
Mac128, you read FAR too much into what I am saying. I've seen Steve's presentation dozens of times, I've read Andy's articles, I bought his book, etc...
I agree with most of the things you are saying, though I'm not about to suggest that Andy wrote that article to say, "I told you so" to Steve...
I sent an email to the person who developed the Newton Keyboard Enabler, asking if he still distributed it. He subsequently replied saying that it is now posted and gave me the following link:

HA! Couldn't tell you... I'm not even sure how many I have. I need to go through a few boxes of stuff. If I have 4 or less probably not. I have 3 IIgs', as well as 3 Pluses and a 512ke that the 800k drives work with, so I like to keep some around.
Ah, that would be: macdrivermuseum.com... the appropriate TLD is .net :)
I actually made that mistake when I was checking to see if they had the Alps driver. :)
You know chris, that's a pretty good question. :)
I really don't know. I've had them for almost 10 years. I've used my IIe quite a bit. I have a large box of software that hopefully works. I'm in the process of organizing my collection, so maybe after I finish with the Mac's I'll pull out the...
Using the Newton Keyboard to type on my SE/30 is pretty awesome. Combine that with my Alps GlidePoint trackpad (plus my barcode scanner whose stand sits on top of the computer) and my input devices take up VERY little space on my workbench.
LC, LC II, LC III, LC 475, Quadra 605. Those are what come to mind immediately. The Quadra 605 is the only one of those machines that uses a different style case... and most people prefer that to the LC style case. I wouldn't take the board from one of those computers just to put it into an LC...
Found it! :)
I remembered downloading this years ago, but misplaced it. After spending 3 days looking through archives and old computers I have finally found it.
Thanks, for your help Kami!
If anyone is interested in this let me know and I will email it to you. It was distributed freely, so...
That's a great site. I had not previously looked there, but now I have and unfortunately the NKE is not there. Thanks for taking the time to search your archive!
*Not sure if this should go in the Newton forum or not. It is a piece of Mac software that I am looking for*
Does anyone happen to have a copy of the Newton Keyboard Enabler? This is the driver that allows you to use a Newton keyboard on a Mac. The developer website no longer exists.
Thanks...
I didn't intend to make that as much of a blanket statement as it originally sounded. Likewise, thank you for clarifying your "nuts" comment. I mean, this is that last place you should have to justify collecting old computers. ;)
JDW's post a couple back pretty much sums up my personal...
