Is it possible to use this graphic card for a second monitor in System 7.6? For a dual monitor setup...
The sources I've found state that it supports System 7.0 and later, but no one mention 7.6. One source say you can't enable the accelerator, but can I still hook up another monitor to it...
Glad it worked out! I know I've written some stuff in these forums about getting the Macintosh Plus (and others) connected hoping it would get handy for people :)
I'm going to write a bigger howto some day, just need recapping my Plus first I think..
I came over a thread last week on Apple Discussion forums talking about how to get cartridges to old apple printers, and the conclusion was that all these printers used cartridges that still exists today in other printers. Because Apple just white labeled their printers/cartridges, and most of...
Some sources say it works with machines that uses DB-15 cables("Quadra & Centris series supports any display"), some say it uses a 13W3. Do they come in two different versions? Which computer uses 13W3?
Does it really weight 35 lb./16 kg?
Edit: By this picture it looks like it came in two...
A PDS card would be nice so it can support other Macintosh machines too.
Adding a VGA (with normal, up to date resolutions) would be amazing!
Regarding to the USB (mass storage) port(s) in the back; OSX can't write to MFS volumes any more, so you had to build in filesystem support. I'm not sure...
Maybe I missed this somewhere, but why are you contacting her/them? :p
Please take backup of this, a lot of this old "business" software are lost because this software are never sold on the open market.
I think it's a 340 card. They came in both 486 and 586 editions. Up to 120MHz, 64MB SVGA, Serial & Parallel port.
What does the CPU say on top of it? Could also be a low-range 210-card with 486SX/33 CPU.
Also, try to find a model number on the card itself.
But all these used to be electrolytics, right? The panasonics mentioned replace the last two (electrolytics?) because they don't exists..
Macintosh Plus Analog Board ( International version 230 volts)
- 4x 2200uf, 16v Radial: D=18mm, H=35mm
- 1x 4700uf, 16v Radial: D=18mm, H=35mm
- 1x1000uf...
I'm not sure, but I think someone said somewhere that this is just a guy in Japan developing on his own and had them made in China or something.. I'm pretty sure it costs a lot to produce these niche cards. Who would buy these cards if you don't want them for some vintage amiga/mac SCSI-1...
I'm trying to find the '3.9uf 35v Bi Polar: D=18mm, H=35mm' for the Macintosh Plus International version as listed above.
Are there any similar caps I can use instead that's easier to find? Preferably from futurlec: http://www.futurlec.com/cgi-bin/search/searchold.cgi?Q=3.9uf&E=1&X=0...
Where did you find this information? I can't see it in the spec sheet you mentioned.
Are any of these very expensive, or are they all equally expensive/cheap?
Yeah, I edited that into my last post.. But I made a new reply instead:
The page says it's $225.00 USD for a single license, but the website haven't been updated for almost 10 years. I'm not sure if anyone is willing to pay $220 USD to a single user license for a 68k debugger.. It isn't really...
