Pulled the lcs from the machine as per manual. No sign of leakage on the logic board or where the water block mates with the top of the cpu. I didn’t however split the processors from the lcs for closer inspection. Reinstalled the unit, powered it up and same results as before above, no sign of...

That’s my major concern, all will become clear I’m sure when I remove the processor to fit the 2.3dp. Will report back!

Amigakit list both a 25mhz and a 40mhz 68882. I’ve bought loads from them over the years and I highly doubt they would sell something they haven’t tested. Will either work or should I specifically be looking for a 33mhz one? I take it the number is the maximum rated speed?

Thanks for the advice folks, I'll give this a go shortly and see how I get on! I have seen an 68882 (MC68882FN40) FPU for very little, so I'll likely install it. Should work alright?
