Hey @LaPorta! Thanks for your extra help and tips! I’ll get the 25 pin connector installed on the board, and as for the 25 pin to 25 pin adapter, would this one work?
Hey @dochilli. I’ll be getting it with the 25-pin connector installed. Another user told me that I would need a male 25 to 25 pin adapter as the 25 pin connector installed on the board is a female connector, which won’t work. Is that correct? Would one like this one work? Thanks!
@dochilli Hey there! This is brilliant information and a great help to a classic Mac noob such as me! I'll be buying a v5.1 from here! Does this look alright to you? I only have one Macintosh, so I won't be swapping drives or anything like that. I have 10 unformatted floppy disks on their way...

One person told me that you can install System 7 directly onto the SD Card using BasiliskII, and that removes the need for all the...
Hey everyone,
I recently bought a Macintosh SE/30, which I use practically every day. The hard drive inside of it is 40MB and is the same HD that’s been there for 30 years. Over the past three/four days, I’ve been getting suspicious that the internal HD is about to fail (or at least will fail...
Hey everyone!
I'm very new to vintage Macintosh. I got my first vintage Mac (an SE/30) after years of wanting one last months, so I apologise if my questions are stupid! I have suspicions the internal hard drive on my Macintosh SE/30 is beginning to die after ~30 years. I want to save all the...
