Would these Floppy Disks work on a Macintosh SE/30?

Hey @dochilli. I’ll be getting it with the 25-pin connector installed. Another user told me that I would need a male 25 to 25 pin adapter as the 25 pin connector installed on the board is a female connector, which won’t work. Is that correct? Would one like this one work? Thanks!

Would these Floppy Disks work on a Macintosh SE/30?

@dochilli Hey there! This is brilliant information and a great help to a classic Mac noob such as me! I'll be buying a v5.1 from here! Does this look alright to you? I only have one Macintosh, so I won't be swapping drives or anything like that. I have 10 unformatted floppy disks on their way...

How to Install System 7 onto SD Card for SCSI2SD using BasiliskII?

@BadGoldEagle Hey! Thanks for the information! I have a just one questions, if that's not too much trouble! Questions about the SCSI2SD (Macintosh SE/30)

@LaPorta Hi there! Thank you for your reply, it's really helpful. The system is currently operating, and I took a look through the Utilities file on it. There are some apps for this purpose (Apple SC HD, Disc Backup, Disk Utility, and a few others from 3rd Party devs). Would those work? Also...

How to Install System 7 onto SD Card for SCSI2SD using BasiliskII?

Hello Everyone, Following up on everyone's extremely helpful information yesterday, I'm going to try and replace the HD inside my Macintosh SE/30 with a SCSI2SD. One person told me that you can install System 7 directly onto the SD Card using BasiliskII, and that removes the need for all the...

Questions about the SCSI2SD (Macintosh SE/30)

Hey everyone, I recently bought a Macintosh SE/30, which I use practically every day. The hard drive inside of it is 40MB and is the same HD that’s been there for 30 years. Over the past three/four days, I’ve been getting suspicious that the internal HD is about to fail (or at least will fail...

Would these Floppy Disks work on a Macintosh SE/30?

Hey everyone! I'm very new to vintage Macintosh. I got my first vintage Mac (an SE/30) after years of wanting one last months, so I apologise if my questions are stupid! I have suspicions the internal hard drive on my Macintosh SE/30 is beginning to die after ~30 years. I want to save all the...
