I have opened my 512K to reinsert the floppy drive and discovered a cable wrapped in sellotape to be in the air.Is it normal or not? I’ve post some images from the cable.

I have connected today the iMac to an external screen but again the same behaviour.No boot and black screen... Never mind I have arranged to return the machine to its original owner.Thanks guys for the help!

I have reseat all the components but still nothing.Unfortunately I'm not a technician I don't have a volt meter.I have done the basics stuff only.

I'm not sure but I think is the Flyback transformer the problem. Machine power ups hard disk spins for a while and then the machine stays with black screen... I have opened it I'v changed battery reset the cud but still nothing.

Yes but still nothing.Does the same.Just chime and no screen.

Thanks for the guide.I have try it but still nothing.The iMac does not boot.Just the HDD spins up for a while but the screen is black and the power button is somehow orange.

Tried to unplugged and plug again the cables but nothing again.Also change the internal battery but still black screen...

Thanks guys its very hard nowadays to find a working condition Rev. A iMac.I don't want know if it's worth it to fix it or to open a claim against the seller.

I have purchase after a long time a rev.A iMac.First time boots ok and then nothing.It starts with a chime the disk spinning for while but the screen is black and the machine remains stuck.Any suggestions please?(this is the first time I have received an iMac in such a great external quality and...

I have change the position of the batteries and now shut down normally for now... Some pics form motherboard.

But it power up normally from button.I don’t know.Maybe not compatible with Apple keyboard?When I fired up for first time I didn’t had this problem.After cleaning the motherboard with compressed air and change the graphics card the problem appeared.

I have managed to power up my IIfx.I have installed a SuperMac graphics card I had and the machine really flies.The only issue I have is that does not shut down from power button.I don’t know why.The first time the button worked but nothing after that.Otherwise the machine is excellent!
