This is one I had, sorry I packed it poor I was leaving that day and wanted to get it out, good in a way atleast you it if I would've waited it'd at the scrap yard with the rest of the macs I had. The CPU is from a Quicksilver so the 12V line that cut off the one molex connector attaches to the...
I know it involves SSL somehow but is it that the libraries that classilla links against don't understand the encryption being used? If it is is it possible to either backport the changes or build a more recent version of the SSL library and link against it or is there something in classilla...
I can agree with that and makes since. I do forget many people don't have the knowledge how their system actually work and for the most part don't want to know. They rather have it just work and not the how & why. As for my ISP I am on Time Warner soon to be Comcast. For my LAN setup Cable...

I really don't the whole Ranting about not using PPC OSX online. Between the low amount of exploits that run on PPC and as long as the machine is behind a firewall hardware preferably but software is fine or both if your really concerned the risk being compromised is pretty close to nill. Heck I...
After thinking it over I think I am going to keep the MDD. There are a few games out there that I play only work in OS9 and it takes up less physical space. Posted the G5 up in the Trading post
Well I have make a decision, the wife said I can not keep all these computers. So far I have a pending on the DA but I am torn between the 2.0GHz Dual Core G5 and the DP 867MHz MDD.
I really like both. The G5 for its performance and the way it looks sitting on my desk. As for the MDD it also...
I posted a message to the LEM Swap list looking for a heatsink for frankenmac. A guy near me said he had one. When I went to pick it up he had three mac's and he just gave them to me. All work, on a side note I now know why the MDD is called the windtunnel. Not a bad haul for only a 40 mile...
Some progress while waiting on the CPU arrive, I went out and got some standoffs that had screws for both sides instead of the ones that you thread into the mainboard tray from Radio Shack and replaced the cardboard. Still only secured to the tray with one screw but at least it looks better...
I also need to get around to actually mounting it properly. The case I am using only one hole lined up and everything is where it should. So for now I have the board secured to the case by that one mounting hole the rest of the standoffs are threaded into a piece of cardboard and the board is...
All I have at my disposal is a 15W soldering iron, rosin core solder, and wire stripper/cutter so cutting looks like the way I will go.
I found that site before when I was looking for the proper pinout for my ATX PSU to GBE I ended up it and another source so I don't have a wall wart coming out...
what's the best way to remove the connector? Simlar to the Beige G3 to ATX mod to remove the DB15 video connector,
cut the top pins bend it cut the bottom row?
Ok so I will have to remove the secondary ATA connector and ether solder a extension to the board or just move the Optical drive to the slave position on the primary. Probably cut the connector and just move the drive would be the easiest solution. I'm not confident enough in my solder skills...
