Hello MLAers! We've re-enabled auto-approval for accounts. If you are still waiting on account approval, please check this thread for more information.
I've now got the system up and running nicely. It has 24 MB RAM, and the PC has 16 MB too. There seems to be a SCSI gremlin when it's cold, but not sure if that is in my ZipPlus or the 6100 itself as it resolves if I disconnect the ZipPlus.
I've installed MacOS 8.1 and Windows 95 with PC Setup...
I have seen that before, that's the prototype flash ROM for the IIgs. I've got a proto machine (SKA321-03) with final ROMs in it. Looks like you have a proper collection of history there! Well done, I'd get back there and get some more if I were you. I seriously doubt it's worth 5 figures, but...
I haven’t actually - never played that one. I went to PC gaming for a long time after getting the 486 (stuck with Mac for creative things though). I’d actually had the voodoos stored at my mums until very recently - I have a voodoo 3 and a (bit of a sin!) voodoomac 5 5500 flashed to PC - would...
Yeah, really pleased with this one. I had a Performa 450 (surprise!) back in the day, and used to really want the 6100/60 they had at school (which we were allowed to play on at lunch). It didn't have a DOS card, but we ended up getting a 486 after the Performa, so this should cover off all my...
Well, this just arrived and either my German was OK or the seller knew what they were doing as it was excellently packed. System is in great condition and a special bonus I could open it up without snapping anything off. It looks fully populated and nice and clean inside, will apply power later on!
I wasn't 100% sure either, but theres a picture of the included cable in the ebay pictures, but not on the listing. The keyboard is decent too, if the description is correct - and I can hopefully swap on a UK keycap set.
I've been after one of these or a 630 DOS Compatible for a while, took a punt on one earlier this week and was pipped at the post on eBay. However, another came up this week so I took a gamble. Hopefully it isn't battery bombed, and my German is good enough to get it packed well...
I made him an offer - much fairer than 99c, but less than "RARE APPLE PROTOTYPE STEVE JOBS" listings.
Are old IPA files in demand then? Can you strip the identifying info from them? I used to cache all of mine on an old NAS so have loads of them stashed away.
Will arrive sometime this year (hopefully!): https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125642660469
Looks like a very early EVT (but not as old as Jajan547's...) of the 3rd gen iPod touch (serial number indicating a May production date).
Will it be the one that's effectively a second gen with better radio...
Heya, 7.6 worked fine on mine, but is officially unsupported - you want 7.6.1. Maybe that explains the corruption?
The April 1997 Developer CD System Software Edition contains not only 7.5.3 (Worldwide) for the 4400 but also 7.6 worldwide, if you don't have it, i think it's on archive.org...
Yep, it should take any laptop PATA/IDE drive as the connector in the caddy is standard, which is good, as the original combo drives didn't last long for me. A non standard drive door may not fit or look great. In another thought, I think I have an old Sony PATA Bluray drive. hmmm....
There was...
I thought the first partition could be any size up to 128 on these, mine is running OS X with a 64 GB mSATA in it. They can take a gig of RAM too, but I think that’s only useful for bragging rights over 512 MB, which yours may have.
Also, these have a habit of playing dead if the PRAM battery is...
