Just a quick update... I've managed to get the sheep_net module installed; it involved creating a signed key to be able to install the module. But, I don't see an option for slirp in Basilisk. Using my linux box's wifi device, I can't get MacTCP configured correctly and I can't tell if it's...
I developed a few TCP apps a few (~10) years ago. One was an MPD client and the other was a twitter client. I used Think Pascal and developed natively on old macs. I have recently discovered Retro68 and some of the work/repos that @ants has posted and been inspired to goof around a bit. I'm...
urbancamo,
I've always been partial to the winter-warmup myself, sad to see it go. My biggest issue is that with everyone moving from blogs to twitter, the experience suffered for me.
So what kinds of things do you need from people? You've asked for help running the October challenge but...
It's my pleasure. Hoping to do something useful some day and save you some trouble. Looks like for now I'll just cause you more. :)
So I put MacTCP.h in the includes dir in Think C as you suggested, and that got me past the include problem, but now I'm getting an error in MacTCP.h
invalid...
Porter,
I'm unable to compile Browser6 under Think C 5.0. I open the project, make, and it gets quite a ways before giving the error...
can't open file "MacTCP.h"
... This error comes from the #include in the header AdressXlation.h
There's no MacTCP.h in the source. I tried putting a...
I have MPW from Apple's website. It appears to be from around 1999. I have a small C project (from circa 1994) that used to compile under MPW, but the 1999 MPW doesn't like it.
Does anyone know where I can get an older version of MPW?
Thanks
The idea was that I could write a program to run on my box that takes a mac disk image, and serves it to a real mac via the parallel port through the mac's floppy port. This would be useful for booting macs with bad drives, or macs with owners with no way to write a system disk. Perhaps one...
Ah wow. I missed "ftp" and was searching through Apple's legacy docs and downloads on their website, sorry about that. Thanks for your willingness to lead a moron to water ;) Looks like some very good tools. Exactly what I was after I think.
I received an LC475 running 7.1P and the system software was using 32Mb out of 36Mb. I did a clean install of 7.5.3 and it's just as bad. Surely it should be using less? I checked virtual memory, and it's off. Can anyone help me figure out what's going on?
Thanks.
Can anyone recommend a good utility for monitoring the ADB port? Something that can show what's connected, device handlers used, or addresses, etc.
Thanks.
