    Classic checkerboard screen

Did you reseat the ROM in the right way? There must be two pins free at one side of the rom holder. A checkerboard can be a result of a faulty rom.

    Classic checkerboard screen

Did you measure the 12 & 5 V voltages at the floppy port? 5 V should be higher than 4.85V for booting a classic.

Classic sad Mac 00000003 00040000 after recap and cleaning

The RAM test in bank B failed. The Z field indicates a failed bit. Could be a broken RAM. Not sure, but can be bit 15: 00000001 Bit 0; 00000002 Bit 1; 00000004 Bit 2; 000000008 Bit 3; 00000010 Bit 4 and so on 00008000 could be bit 15 I do not know, if this is the right interpretation. Do you...

    Classic II + ethernet

MacIP or A2Server can be solutions with a raspberry pi. But you need a locatalk/ethernet bridge (software or hardware). Otherwise you can use a scsi to ethernet device, if you can find one. The classic II has no expansion slot. So I do not know of an inside solution.

    Mac Classic Troubles

help for a frustrating recap of a Classic

Your 5V is too low with 4,8 V. Did you turn pp1? You need 4.85 for a chime! If you turn pp1 then you have to look at the 12V too!

    Best bridge machine?

MacIP could be used, but you need a localtalk/ethernet bridge (Asante or Mac with Ethernet and bridge software). There are versions for raspberrypi, orangepi and a virtual machine. https://www.macip.net/macippi/ A2SERVER could the same, but the website seems to be down.

    Build an A/D converter

I thought about building an analog to digital converter for a classic mac (Plus to SE/30). I did this with some serial converters (TLD548 or Max187) for a serial RS-232 for PCs. For the programming of these chips you need three lines of the rs232 that you can set to high and low. Then you can...

Issue with Macintosh Classic II: vibrating vertical lines / unable to boot

5V should be 4.85 or higher. Then the classic will boot. You could turn pp1 on the analog board, but you have to look at the 12 V too.

    Macintosh SE Mouse pointer stuck

Are the ABs recapped? Could be a problem with the voltages (5 & 12 V). You could check them at the floppy port.
