    I was always under the impression that the LC III needs a battery to work, mine will not display video without one but as soon as I install a battery it works just fine

    All of my machines (very few left due to an accident a few years back) have their PRAM batteries removed, unfortunately this machine needs it in order to display an image  :(

    I removed and cleaned underneath of it, still nothing, however, now when i bridge some of the pins on the EGRET i get a sad mac chime so i think we might be getting somewhere

    Long story short My LC II refused to boot one day and I suspected it was the power supply, after replacing the power supply the hard drive would spin up along with the system fan and the processor gets warm after awhile but no image would appear, there is no audio and no response to the keyboard...

    The capacitor itself looks fine and there’s no direct shorts to ground anywhere, I’ll switch it around and see if everything is okay, I still need to get a new power supply, but does anyone know what C21 does?

    I accidentally soldered a tantalum capacitor in backwards on C21, I was try to diagnose a faulty power supply and I decided to resolder all the caps on the logic board to check that they weren’t the problem, the power supply was dying but I’m still worried i fried the board, am i okay?
