I want to see if someone can make AAs or AAAs work, the rechargeable ones are NiMH and the same voltage and capacity of the original cells, so technically it should work

So, from my limited research  of NiMH technology larger capacity cells don’t really give you better run time due to the way the batteries charge and the larger capacity cells will degrade from the way that the Duo charge cycles it’s batteries 

The 2300c would have originally shipped with a type 3 battery, these use 1.2V 4/5A 1600 mAH cells and they are not super easy to find, from my research I have heard of people who used 2/3A cells of the same voltage/capacity successfully. I am currently restoring my 2300c and will be 3d printing a new standoff for the front bezel as the original standoff crumbled against my attempt to repair it, I want to replace the little plastic screw covers and I am unsure of how to source originals/ recreate them

I managed to install the full version of 7.5.3 and was happy enough with how it runs so I left it at that. Very happy with how this turned out, thanks to everyone who helped out

I will download Basilisk II and install 8.1 that way, as for the CF card I won't need backwards Compatibility so a single volume image will be fine. 

do you have a full version of 7.5.5, I would love a 4GB image as well. Thanks again

So I downloaded your minimal 7.5.5 disk image and used BalenaEtcher to install it onto My SD card Annnnnndddddd...... it works!!!!!  I am amazed, thank you so much RealityStorm, I am so excited to finally use my 2300c 

I may just end up buying floppies as I am having trouble with installing programs onto the CF card

 glad that listing may be of some help, I feel like shipping disks from the US to Canada may be cost prohibitive unfortunately

I'm going to look for my USB floppy drive again as I do not have any software currently compatible with the 2300 on a floppy

I have a powerbook Duo 2300c and unfortunately no floppies to use with it, my first thought was also disk utility however I currently have no way of using it, I cannot find my USB floppy drive 

I just got my CF to IDE adapter for my 2300c in the mail, how do I go about loading an OS onto it?, specifically Mac OS 8.1
